Pane e Amore Italian Cafe

Absolutely one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. This small, family-owned restaurant won my heart within seconds of walking through the door. My friends and I were visiting from out of town and happened to stumble upon this place while looking for somewhere to eat. We didn’t even realize until after being seated that we had arrived only about 30 minutes before closing. Not once did they make us feel rushed or like an inconvenience — quite the opposite. Pane e Amore is a truly authentic, family-owned Italian restaurant. The menu is simple yet unique, and every single thing we tried — from drinks to dessert — was incredible. We enjoyed the red blend wine, beer, and the pasta of the day: an Italian sausage spaghetti in a white sauce, made completely from scratch, right down to the noodles. It tasted like real Italian food and genuinely made us feel as though we were sitting in the heart of Italy. While our entrées were being prepared, we were served bruschetta that was crisp, light, and perfectly cooked — not overly hard like it often is elsewhere. We finished with a dessert that was equally light and delicious. The service was unmatched. Every interaction was genuine, heartfelt, and full of care. We were treated like family, and in the short time we were there, it felt like visiting relatives in Italy for the holidays. Five stars simply isn’t enough — this place deserves a ten. We will for sure be back.

We boated up to the Bradenton Beach Pier, docked and headed over right when they opened yesterday as they do not take reservations and are deservedly VERY popular. This place was amazing on all levels. Maurizio, the owner, was chef, server, cashier--everything! He was really a great, fun guy. We had the best charcuterie board I have ever had, gnocchi, lasagna, a focaccia sandwich, and seafood pasta; all were amazing. I could not recommend more highly! Grazie!

Mauricio gives you exceptional personal service as you eat on his five star Italian food menu. While the menu is small it is loaded with flavor and love. You need to have his lasagna and his deserts are amazing.

We’re absolutely thrilled we found this restaurant! Authentic Italian food, warm and personal service, and everything cooked by the owners themselves. We enjoyed great conversation, homemade dishes, and fresh, healthy, and absolutely delicious food! Truly the best, most genuine, and flavorful meal we’ve had on the island! Do not miss this jewel! Fresh, delicious gourmet Italian dishes made by the gracious Italian owner and chef. We felt very welcomed the moment we walked in. This café sized restaurant is in a pleasant open-air breezeway with soft Italian music playing in the background as you enjoy a glass of wine. It can't get much better! The pasta and gnocchi is fresh and made onsite. We arrived late in the evening and they were out of a dish but chef whipped up a fantasy of Italian pasta with cream sauce, peas, sweet potato and carrots. My daughter and I split that and the gnocchi. We both agreed it was the best pasta dishes we have ever had and I have been to Italy but it had nothing on this. Don’t miss the scrumptious bruschetta & homemade tiramisu (unlike any tiramisu I have had before!). Needless to say, we will be back.

Really glad we stopped into Pane e Amore. Food was delicious and the proprietor Maurizio was a joy to talk to. Tucked away in a little nook amongst other shops and eateries it’s a lovely albeit unique little spot to get a true Italian fix while you’re on the island. Enjoy. Thanks Maurizio!

There is truly not enough nice things I can say about this place. The atmosphere is like no other, the owners and serves are the most authentic and kindest people you will ever meet. The food is all homemade and so delicious, nothing on the island compares. I’ve been here so many times and will never stop going absolutely phenomenal. Give it a chance and I promise you won’t be dissapointed.
