I've heard about this place and decided to stop in and check it out. Don't let the outside of the building fool you, once inside it's comfortable and the staff are super friendly. Just what you'd expect from a locally owned Southern restaurant. I tried the Fish and Chips today. The fish could have been a little firmer for my liking, but that's what happens when you deep fry white fish. Having said that, it was still very good and well seasoned. The portion size was huge, half plate of home cut fries and 3 pieces of fish. The side I chose was Mac & Cheese. You could tell it wasn't industrial canned stuff. Light and creamy. I actually got to talk to the owner and she was very nice and pleasant to talk to. They have a small core menu but most of their items change daily and are made fresh and to order. I only give it 4 stars because I've only eaten there once so I'll have to go back and try some more items. Overall I'd recommend driving from wherever you are to stop inside, I feel you won't be disappointed.

I bought the shrimp poboy yesterday. Well let's just say 5 shrimp don't make a poboy! The bread and palm full of lettuce and the two half slices made the bulk of the poboy. When one sees shrimp followed by poboy one would think the star of the sandwich would be many shrimp. For almost $15 dollars one would've thought it would have I don't know at least a handful or two of shrimp. I definitely will not be going back!

Man this has become my Wife and I’s New favorite spot!! The Food is fresh and tastes phenomenal. Prices are mind blowingly well price, very inexpensive to boot. I recommend the beef tips and rice for lunch that’s my favorite and the breakfast period is out of this world and tasted awesome. Just had the bacon eggs and cheese sandwich with home fries and a side of bacon. Idk how to say it but you don’t find great restaurants like this anymore y’all that serves u real food and doesn’t taste processed to heck and back so I’d say go in to Karen and try it for your self u won’t be disappointed at allllllllllllllll!

Small portions for the high price you pay. Leg and a thigh 2 small sides all for $15? You can get a 5 piece dinner 2 sides at Popeyes for $12 comes with two biscuits. I expect to have at least 4 piece of chicken for paying anything over $15, po folks is doing it for years.

Went for the first time yesterday. Food was good and a cozy place. Went mainly bc of the low prices advertised online. They brought the check with no pricing so we ordered dessert thinking it was cheap.Lunch was almost $30 after tip. Prices had been marked out on the menu. We're all getting hit with inflation but this was waaaaay too much money.
