We stumbled upon Darrell’s Diner while searching for a good homestyle lunch, and it was a win! I ordered the chicken fried chicken with country gravy, mashed potatoes, and corn, and it was pure Southern comfort on a plate. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, the gravy was perfectly seasoned, and the sides tasted just like home cooking. This place is a gem for anyone craving real-deal country cooking! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Small town diner atmosphere with a breakfast and lunch menu. Basic egg and pancake choices, sandwiches and salads. My favorite is the club sandwich on rye with cottage cheese on the side. Honestly have never really enjoyed cottage cheese at a restaurant, but there's is cold and fresh tasting. Sweet tea is perfect and service is quick.

Order a breakfast sandwich asked for extra bacon, and I didn't get extra bacon. I asked for extra bacon because you don't get very many slices. I was very disappointed when I got home with my order.

We ordered omelets, grits, potatoes and drinks. The omelets were delicious...as were the grits and potatoes. Service was fantastic, friendly, answered all of our questions and the food came out very quickly. As for atmosphere, the restaurant was clean as was the rest room. I would eat here again. Also, since they didn't have GF toast they offered substitutions like the potatoes and tomatoes.

I stop here every time I go by Bushnell food is always better than good staff is friendly just a good breakfast or lunch ,edit My review we stop by Daryl's every time we head south we live in fort White this time we went to Orlando and couldn't stop so on our way back we went 40 miles out of our way just to stop at Daryl's this time however the Lost Stars with me couldn't seem to get waited on three other tables cleaned and sat while we had none end table was not cleaned waitresses walk by but didn't acknowledge this so we just left hopefully next time if I stop it will be a lot better it was a very disappointing experience for us I hope somebody reads this and does something about their staff

Darrell's is always great. It is even better since there are less folks because they went back up north... ? ? ? so the wait for a table @ the location on SR 48 is not an issue after church on Sundays!
Dietary restrictions: If you need to make an adjustment to say a western without onions, no problem. Chicken and waffles are the best, and the pancakes ? in the tummy. All the servers are very polite and nice ?.
Kid-friendliness: They can scream but most are well-behaved! And the loud ones are NOT asked to leave. They are kids, ?
Wheelchair accessibility: We have wheelchair and walkers with us usually.
