An absolute gem! Incredibly delicious food – from the freshly baked bread to the beautifully prepared breakfast, everything is a treat. The coffee is excellent and the variety of dishes is impressive. What really stands out is the exceptionally friendly service. You feel welcome the moment you walk in. The owners are present and personally take care of their guests with great passion – and it shows! We love coming to this bakery – highly recommended! ❤️
The only place in Cape Coral to get a variety of wholesome artisan breads in European style. As a Dutch expat I am so happy with this bakery, as it is incredibly hard to find unsweetened, whole grain bread around here. The new owners and servers are super friendly and helpful. So far I tried the ancient grain, sunflower seed and protein bread and they are all delicious!
They have a café too that is always busy and a variety of bread rolls and sweet treats as well.
Cool little place totally different than I thought it was gonna be service was great. Food was great and it was clean and it was nice. Plenty of parking. They also have to go stuff or eat in!!
Wonderful home baked breads
The food and staff are awesome! Yummy pastries and breakfast!
Awesome friendly owners and staff, serving great food! You can dine in for breakfast, brunch, or lunch, and get takeout too! Love the pretzels with eggs and sausage. Wife loves the Taylor Ham with eggs and a Kaiser roll, and our daughter loves her eggs and bacon with the pretzel croissant that is shaped in a triangle. We all love the pastries too - chocolate croissant, fruit tart, and Berliner filled donuts. Also, if you come in and the case is empty, no worries - they will make anything you want fresh right there.
We truly fell in love with this delightful hidden treasure. The staff was exceptionally welcoming, and we even had the pleasure of meeting a local regular, Mr. John, who greeted us warmly. The food was absolutely amazing, and while we chose to savor our meal on-site, we couldn't help but pick up some delicious goodies to take home as well.
Everything good, I strongly recommend
Amazing
Don’t let the name fool you — Bread Pete is so much more than just a bread bakery. 🥖🇩🇪 Yes, the bread is incredible (crispy outside, soft and flavorful inside — exactly what you'd expect from authentic German baking), but that’s only the beginning. They serve fresh, hearty breakfasts, delicious lunch options, and next-level desserts that make you pause after every bite. It’s the kind of place where you walk in for “just a loaf” and walk out with a full meal, a pastry (or two), and no regrets. The space feels like a little European escape in the middle of Cape. Cozy, welcoming, and always smells like heaven. If you haven’t tried it yet, this is your sign to go for breakfast, stay for lunch, and treat yourself to something sweet on the way out.

Found this place by accident but it’s the most authentic ‘German’ place in the area. I had a lunch bratwurst with delicious sourkraut / and I’m not a big sourkraut fan. Potato salad was delicious - I wish they had bratkartofeln. I took home several pastries and strudel and I felt like I was in a German bakery. Friendly owners and wonderful food - highly recommended!

Bright and airy atmosphere, super friendly staff, and the best croissant I've had in a decade, at least. Also, it was my first time trying Leberkäse, and it was delicious!
They also happily baked a large order of German pretzel twists for my cousin's wedding as parting favors, they were delicious and loved by all..
