Everything was great, even though they were in a restoration project because of the damage done during the last hurricane. My only suggestion would be to have trash cans placed in the bathrooms. I am conscientious and would not place personal hygiene items & facial tissues in the toilet, but other guests possibly would not be that considerate, thus, could cause plumbing problems.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, it was nicely updated with plenty of room. Unfortunately they were installing a new roof at the time, so a lot of construction was going on & the main pool was closed. There is a second pool which was nice & a short walk away. It also had a bar. Pleasant staff but upon check-in, the evening front desk clerk did not know what time complimentary coffee was served in the morning. It was pretty good coffee. The hallways are exterior which is a bit of a pet peeve of mine & they looked a bit run down. There are several restaurants & shops on the property. Overall it is a nice property.
Worst experience ever. I should have read the reviews online. The hotel is under construction and entrance to lobby area is blocked off. You can park your car but it goes around in loops to get to the lobby. I was okay with that UNTIL….. yoga class which was plastered as a plus was cancelled with out prior notice and we even asked the front desk that night. THEN …. Highly advertised adventure with the dolphins, boat left before the due time of 11:30. We were on the dock 11:25 no sight of a boat. We even passed by the lobby to make sure it was going before heading to the dock and because there were thunder we’re hearing. She said they are there, rushed to get there and no BOAT. it was a complete disappointment to stay here. Don’t waste your time. Restaurant is barely open and the place which has a nice patio overlooking the marina is all closed. It should have disclosed this on their website
The property and rooms are quite nice. Security very friendly as we left and returned each day. We booked the property 9 months ago, but due to recent ( not Ian) wind damage there was major construction going on. It was noisy starting well Before 8 am and this was so disruptive, but no discount, extra points, meal credit, etc was offered. Huge cranes, most hotel entrances blocked off so I had to schlep luggage a good distance, etc. one day we had to wait 5 minutes to go outside due to a crane hoisting a dumpster to the roof. The next day was about a 3 minute wait. I understand they needed to take care of things but at least offer something other than a generic printout of “our apologies” at check in. The pool was also quite tepid and not refreshing. The dolphin cruise was fun, but that is a one time thing. There was no water taxi. Not sure what the resort fee was for when it was very “Un-resort” like. We were there for 7 days, so an expensive trip for s sub-par feeling.
It's important to know before you go that the hotel is under construction since the hurricane. It's not their fault, but it is what it is. The upside--daily housekeeping, great food, lovely people. The downside--construction. I had some miscommunication issues with the front desk. The General Manager fixed it immediately. I was thoroughly impressed as his solution was more than fair. Shout out to the wonderful woman in the restaurant who helped me get my child fed every morning. There was also a wonderful bartender at the pool on Friday of last week. He was incredibly helpful and hard working. Rooms are big and comfy. We stayed for one week. It's a big property so be aware of that. Also, thumbs up on the excellent coffee offered daily in the lobby. My advice is just to know before you go...
I came here with my friends for breakfast and everything exceeded our expectations! . Beautiful setting on the water with great Mimosas !! Doesn't get much better than this ! This is my new go to place when bringing our guests !! Max was our server and he gave us great service and was very attentive. Great spot for breakfast in Cape Coral !
Even though the hotel is going through renovations, the setting and hotel are beautiful. Everyone was so kind and hospitable from Anna Marie at the front desk to the guy who drove us and our bags in a golf cart from the parking garage. Hope to come back!
The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marine Village is situated in the heart of Cape Coral. It is one of the favorite hotels in the area. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a big smile and friendly service and we immediately felt comfortable. As you enter the place, a great setting welcome you. The hotel offers a wide variety of activities. We had a pleasant experience. This is by far our favorite hotel in Cape Coral! All the staff are lovely and can help with the everything. The service was wonderful and the restaurants were amazing. High quality rooms, they are very clean, spacious, the beds are very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. From the valet to the check- in, to the cleaning staff were delightful and always eager to help. Noellie, is the BEST host that you can ask for! We were very impressed by a special customer service by Noellie, so I highly recommend her. Noellie helped us with the Dolphin encounter experience offered by the hotel and we had the best time! We were so impressed with Captains Douglas Olsen and his friend by their knowledge of not only the waterway but the animals, dolphins, birds, etc. Noellie goes above and beyond what customers need and helps ensure we are happy. She is always very friendly, polite, patient, attentive, hard worker, and definitely makes any client feel comfortable with her great attention. We were fully satisfied with her outstanding attention and wonderful customer service! Noellie is extremely kind, and also very familiar with what is on the hotel and also she will help you to find the best outdoor activities in the area. Noellie went above and beyond to find us a wonderful kayak experience. We followed her advice and we had an amazing kayaking time! Noellie always recommends you the best options. I highly recommend going to Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village. We will be back soon! Thanks again Noellie ;)
I didn't really like this hotel, it's definitely not worth the cash rate. It was ok since I got it cheap on points. Arriving there was no one to help with luggage. I checked in on the phone but it still made me go to the desk, presumably because they wanted the opportunity to sale me an upgraded room. The woman at the front desk had a very fake condescending attitude. I really didn't care about an upgraded room but it didn't leave a good impression that she brought up they had lots of suites available they could sale me because my gold status "isn't quite at the level for a free upgrade." So they are greedy and not giving paying customers something that would be no incremental cost. I've been upgraded at other hotels and chain even with no status. It's not obligation but what they are doing is just greedy. Let me enjoy what I already booked, not talk about how much better the other rooms are. If I wanted to pay for a suite I would have booked it that way. The hotel felt empty but they still crammed the few people there all together to make sure we could hear each other. Also this is not up to the brand standards of any other Westin I've seen. It has exterior hallways and doesn't have all the same furniture and feel as other Westins. I guess it was converted from some other type of property, the room lays were odd.
Very nice hotel under renovations. Unfortunately the rooms are not at Marriott standards. The room has been renovated, but they are not clean. They are equipped with utensils, dishes, etc. that are not clean, and they don’t match as sets. Very disappointed after spending a week earlier at a Marriott Villas in Orlando where all was great.
