J&P Asian Fusion

My family loves this place but we tried something different for the first time as we usually get just sushi. I have only had sushi at one other place that was better than J&P but the price is also much higher. I ordered their house special fried rice. Overall it was good but the steak was overcooked. For fried rice this was good but nothing special. My daughter got a noodle dish that was kind of dry which our waitress did say so no complaints but was again just ok. My wife had the best dish mainly because the sauce was incredible. She did the make your own dish with chicken but the hero was the sweet chili sauce. It had so much flavor and I would definitely get that with shrimp. The biggest disappointment was the appetizer. We ordered the spicy tuna crispy rice roll which is very similar to the one at oises and there is no comparison. This one was so overcooked from frying it too long that it was extremely hard to break through to the rice underneath. I needed a fork to cut through it. I don’t know if we just got a really bad one or if this is how they cook it then stay away from that appetizer. I was kind of shocked for how good their sushi is there. I don’t say anything to the staff but that really was disappointing. The only reason I gave even a a 4 star is because I know their food is very good.

Specifically said I don’t like white fish ordered a roll and two tuna and yellow tail sushi peaces. She bring me tuna and white fish sushi peaces!! Can’t even complain to her cause she was no where to be found by time she did show up it wasn’t even worth complaining.. foods great minus the white I don’t like and waste of money on sorry service !

Sushi is really good and fresh. Waitresses were amazing.

What a let down. We had the grilled squid that tasted like it had been previously frozen and not fresh. Then we had the house special noodle soup which lacked any flavor. The only thing that did retain flavor was the celery. I feel that maybe a midweek dining experience could have been the reason it was bland, but we do not plan to return either way.

Place is great, love the staff bc they are friendly and quick. Food is delicious. I do caution if u are used to Hawaii Sushi, u will turn your nose up to this place bc they dont dont serve the traditional sushi rice here, its plain but presto is excellent. One kid ordered the chicken, not kid approved, she said it lacked flavor and was disappointed with her meal.

Oh my goodness! What a total surprise! They keep the sauce and chicken separate! So you don’t end up with a soggy mess day 2 for extras!! Flavors of food top notch!!

I normally enjoy coming here because the food is usually very good, but my last visit was unfortunately very disappointing.

We waited around 20 minutes after ordering and only received water, even though the restaurant was not too busy at the time. What made it more frustrating was seeing other tables who arrived after us already getting their meals.

Our appetizer finally came out, but we then had to wait another long time for the main dishes. We eventually had to ask another employee to check on our order before the food was finally brought to us.

Sadly, the food did not seem fresh and tasted like it had been sitting for a while, almost as if our order had been forgotten.

I know bad days can happen, and I still think the food here is worth trying because it’s usually delicious. I just hope the service is better next time.

Overall,awesome the sashimi i got was not salty but to some guy it was salty but the atmosphere and service was rlly good too. I devoured my food within 5 seconds I heard there was cake but didint find any. Would recommend and come again.

Food was great, def recommend the tempura jalapeño. Our server Haylee was fantastic, everything she recommended was delicious and she was well versed on the menu. Can’t wait to go back and try more and hope to be served by her again!
