Joe’s jumbo wieners

I was first exposed to Joe's Jumbo Weiners a couple of years ago at the Cape Coral food truck wars. Unfortunately I was unable to experience a weiner that day as I had already eaten my fill at the other fine trucks. Two years later I found them in the parking lot behind Sutherlin Nissan on Pine Island Rd in Cape Coral. They are currently there every day except Sunday from 11-2.

I believe I was the first customer of the day and the gentleman who served me was friendly and pleasant. He suggested that their chili cheese dog was the best thing on the menu and was probably my best choice for my first visit. I agreed and he made it fresh to order. I had about a 10 minute drive home and was skeptical that it would hold up for that long. So many chili dogs turn into a soggy mess before you can finish them that I assumed I would need a fork and knife by the time I got to eat it. Much to my delight, the bun held up exceptionally well. I was able to hold the dog and none of the chili had soaked through. The whole package was huge and delicious and while the bun held up well, it was too big for my mouth to handle and I ultimately used the fork and knife. I thoroughly enjoyed my first weiner from Joe. The chili cheese dog was a nice way to ease into the menu and I am looking forward to being more adventurous in my future visits. I hope others will occasionally step away from the corporate fast food places and support a local truck and unique food offering in Cape Coral.
Update:
I have returned to try something new, and upon this visit I found that not only are Joe's weiners jumbo, but so are his burgers. I had a bacon double cheeseburger, with sautéed onions and a slightly sweet special sauce. This was a beefy burger. Two 6 ounce patties and plenty of crispy bacon. The sauce added an unexpected element to an already solid offering. I'll be back next week to try his spicy chicken sandwich.

Well worth my 45 minute drive from Port Charlotte! Pictured is the Nacho Average Wiener. Unfortunately they sold out of the footlong, so I got 2 regular wieners. Everything was on point, the bun was nice and soft, the wiener had a nice snap & flavor and the topping were great! Great service and great guy! Highly recommend!

Had the Jumbo Chili Dog today. It was HUGE! And very tasty!! It was AMAZINGLY GOOD! Can't wait to go back! -Tim

Saw the truck two years ago on vacation, excited to see that he was open this year! Only gave 4 stars for food because not all toppings were available. Stop in and taste the new creation, Tom’s Short Fat wiener named after a friend of ours!

Saw Joe’s food truck 2 years ago during our vacation. Finally had the chance to try. Hot dogs were great! Only gave 4 stars for food because we hit the pre-opening so he had a limited menu. Love the special sauce and Tom’s short fat wiener!!

Awesome, delicious food truck, hamburger, chili dogs and fries were delicious! The secret burger sauce was to die for!!!! Can’t wait to eat joes jumbo wieners again !!

Joes jumbo wieners came and served at a party for my daughters, we made the menu very simple ( any type of hotdog you want, hamburgers and fries ) about 40 people came to the party and not one single person had a complaint! In fact everyone bragged about how delicious everything was ALL night long! Thank you Shawn! We will definitely be contacting you again for future parties 😁

Food, service, and overall vibe are excellent. Coming from Detroit, I love to try Coney Dogs from many different places. Joe's Jumbo Wieners are of the best quality, the dogs taste exquisite, and the ingredients pack a punch. I believe Joe was the person who served me, and I can say, without a doubt, that the customer service is beyond exceptional, and this business cares highly about their customers. I ordered a footlong Coney Dog, and it was delicious. 5/5 food, 5/5 experience.
