Well, after the waitress ripped the specials menu out of my 76 year old mother's hands and wadded it up at our table, we were pretty much done. While I suspect that was more a reflection of her frustration with the restaurant team, it was pretty unbelievable and enough to cause us to rethink our choice and move on to another place for dinner.

When I called was told we could have a reservation for 8 outside and when we arrived I was told that isn't possible.

Food was good, we dined outside and it tends to be noisy. Service was horrible. Had to find a manager twice just to get our check and pay and while he apologized, he didn't really seem to care all that much.

This was more of a cafe experience and we opted for outside which turned out to be not the best on a chilly night. Bring a jacket if you choose to be outside!

Most incompetent hostesses I have ever seen. Have a reservation and stand there and wait for 15 minutes to be helped after watching 3 or 4 hostesses run around not having any clue what they are doing. Don't acknowledge us, give a smile, or a simple, “I'll be with you in a minute,” (there are probably 60 tables open). Finally, one of them steps up to the booth and stands there, looking at us blankly. Okay..... alright... I guess I'll talk now. Hi! We are people trying to give you money, do you want that? Scrolled on her iPad right past my name after I told her we had a reservation. I had to coach her how to get back up to the top of the list where my name was first, right where it should be. Then we were told again it would be another 15 minute wait to get the table ready. We went to a Pinchers right down the street and got seated with drinks and an appetizer before these people at Marker 92 even knew we were there. I'm assuming if management had any idea how poor their customer service was, they'd be fired on the spot. Don't waste your time here unless you like awkwardly standing around like 8th graders at their first dance waiting for somebody to talk to them.

First time coming here , service was good. Server was friendly and she made suggestions and recommended the same wine I had in mind. Atmosphere was great , live music and it wasn't to noisy. Love the location and food.

Made reservation for Valentine's Day. They forgot about us. Bad drinks, bad food. Food out of order, loud.

We signed up for Valentines dinner and were told there was only a special three course dinner available at $65 per person. While dining, we saw waiters and waitresses coming out with other dishes that were obviously from a different menu. Some of the courses were good but my wife's course had a large hair embedded in the fish. She called attention to this issue with a waitress (not our own) who treated her very rudely, even suggesting that it was her own hair. Needless to say it put a damper on the entire evening. At least they did not charge us for her meal. I will not return as there are better dining options available in Cape Coral.

We stayed at The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village from August 7th thru August 14th.

The following interesting episode took place at the Marker 92 Restaurant on property, a restaurant of high reputation. My wife Nina & I went for lunch on Tuesday, August 13th. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were met by Miss Karen (I do not know her last name.) She said to my wife to sit anywhere you like, as there were no other patrons at that time. My wife chose a nice booth which looked comfortable and had a curved back. But right away Ms. Karen said “The booths aren’t that comfortable; they’re difficult to get in and out of”. So, we selected a table next to a window. The interesting part is that within fifteen minutes Ms. Karen was happy to have another couple occupy that very booth.

The other part of the episode is even more interesting & maddening. Both of us ordered the Florida Salad; my wife ordered it with grilled chicken and I ordered it with blackened grouper. Miss Karen brought two plates of the salad for the two of us. As she placed the food on our table, she commented: “You will not be able to finish your plates. Somebody has put the salads on plates today; usually this salad is served in a bowl. If you can’t finish it, let me know and I’ll get you boxes to go”. After 5-7 minutes she came with water for us and repeated the exact same statement about the large size of the salads a second time. To that we said “Okay, we’ll let you know”. But in no time, she came back with two empty plastic take-home boxes and said “Here, this is for you to pack your salads if you can’t finish”. We of course had not asked her to bring the boxes to go – we were still eating! At this point, I was very upset with Miss Karen’s behavior.

I stopped eating and told my wife to pack up my remaining salad. I stayed seated for another five minutes but then got up from the table and left, asking my wife to settle the bill. It seems that she was directly indicating to us that this resort is for leisure but Marker 92 is not for having lunch at your leisure. Ms. Karen’s attitude was like that of a bully. In all my life, this was one hell of an experience for me – one which my memory will force me to remember from time-to-time. Thanks Miss Karen. Miss Karen seems to think that she is a real asset to Marker 92 and to the Westin Resort.

On top of this, I found out later in our room that the grouper was hardly cooked! It was almost raw. I will be hard pressed to recommend Marker 92 to anyone because of Miss Karen’s insulting behavior and the raw grouper resulting in my great disappointment.

Everything about our experience for both dinner and breakfast the following morning was excellent. The service was phenomenal. We arrived by boat after a long day of dealing with weather traveling up from the keys. We were very dehydrated and our server realized how fast we drank our beverages and quick brought over an additional glass of tea each. The morning our server noticed we had a small cooler with us and offered to top it off with ice for us which was perfect. The service staff really knows how to anticipate guest needs. Great job!

The food was top notch, I had the fish dip for an appetizer and the blackened grouper sandwich for dinner with a slice of key lime pie for dessert. Everything was very delicious. Breakfast was just as good. Highly recommend the chorizo breakfast sandwich.

We will certainly be making another stop here in the future.

This is inside the Westin. The food has tasted good. I was told if you like spicy chicken you can get either the chicken sandwich or the entree. They were accommodating with are 10 or more parties. There was one guy that seemed to get overwhelmed easily but he made it through. They have an open kitchen so you can see the cooks cooking.

I am very upset about what happened at this restaurant. They were very mean to my children, and it made them cry. The staff were very rude and unprofessional. We felt like they didn't want us there. What was supposed to be a happy time turned into a sad experience. Please, don't go to this place if you care about your family. No one should be treated like this.

The way the staff treated my four-year-old and 9 years old was terrible. They were rude and unkind, and it ruined our whole time. My child was so upset, and it broke my heart. How can a place that welcomes families be so mean? We left feeling embarrassed and very sad. I don't want anyone else to go through this. Please avoid this place if you love your family. Rude!!!

I have dedicated over 25 years of my life to the hospitality industry, and never have I encountered a place as appalling as this restaurant. It stands as the absolute worst in the area, a glaring blemish amidst a sea of establishments that understand the true essence of customer service and respect.

Every other restaurant around here knows how to treat their clients with dignity and care, but this place? It’s a complete travesty. The level of unprofessionalism is staggering, from the moment you walk in until the moment you leave in utter disbelief.

The food, if you can even call it that, is an insult to the culinary arts. It’s as if they’ve gone out of their way to make it as unappetizing as possible. Every bite is a reminder of just how much they don’t care about quality or their customers.

The service? Don’t even get me started. It’s a joke. A bad one. They have no idea how to interact with patrons, let alone provide the bare minimum of decency and professionalism that every other restaurant in this area seems to manage effortlessly.

Avoid this place at all costs. It’s not just bad; it’s a disgrace to the entire hospitality industry. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment – go anywhere else, where they actually know how to treat their customers and serve real food.
