Absolutely the best Carbonara! Great service. A hidden gem with delicious craft cocktails. Daddy’s Home cocktail is superb. We’ve been a handful of times and we will continue!

This is always a great for a date or a get together! Great atmosphere. I think the menu has had its changes throughout the years, always good. It is pricey but you pay for the uniqueness.

💫 Dinner, Redefined: A Love Letter to Next Door Cape 💌 💫 Here's the thing about Next Door Cape: you walk in thinking you’re just out for a nice dinner... and by the second bite, you realize you’ve underestimated everything. Scratch that—by the first spoonful. Before we’d even ordered, we were gifted a tiny, elegant amuse bouche: a puréed cauliflower bisque so velvety, so subtly rich, it could’ve been mistaken for soup royalty. Creamy, comforting, and the culinary equivalent of a wink—it let us know, you’re in good hands tonight. We started with the Tomato & Mozzarella salad, expecting something classic. What we got? A perfectly composed riot of flavor—sweet tomato, spicy ‘nduja, crunchy focaccia crumb, and that parmesan punch. Think Caprese... but with a couture makeover. Then came the Prime NY Strip, and let me just say: if steak could speak, this one would whisper luxury in your ear. Perfectly seared, deeply flavorful, with broccolini that proved vegetables can be show-stealers too. The Duck Breast? Silky. Smoky. Paired with charred cabbage and a black garlic molasses that should honestly be bottled and sold on its own. It’s the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation and just… savor. But it's not just about the food (although, wow). The ambiance is pure elegance— soft lighting inside, and we enjoyed outdoor seating with a sunset view over Tarpon Point Marina that was jawdropping. The service? Impeccable. Warm, knowledgeable, and never rushed. ✨ The real allure of Next Door Cape is this: You aren't just served a meal. You are given a memory. One you'll casually bring up every time someone mentions Tarpon Point—“Oh, have you been to Next Door? You MUST try!” So go. Dress up a little. Order boldly. Linger longer. And whatever you do, don’t skip the starter. Trust me—it’s only the beginning of a truly inspired dining experience.

Arrived with a $200 birthday gift certificate sat down ready for cocktails and a nice dinner and the waitress/manager asked me to get up and wait at the entrance door I wasn't sure what was happening there wasnt a wait for hostess sign anywhere. I was advised if I didn't get up right away she would call security say what.what an insane way to do business we left disgusted and went to two meatballs in the kitchen were we were greeted nicely and turned around a bad evening to a great evening thanks ryan
I came here about a month ago for my very first time and wow I have just moved from Miami to Cape Coral last year and have not yet found a restaurant that can top Miami restaurants and until I Visited next door restaurant . The restaurant is very cute, the atmosphere is great, and the service is better. Everyone is really attentive. We decided to get the chef choice and we did not regret it. Everything tasted amazing. We were able to try a lot of options, different wines and great desserts. The chef was Great she went to our table and brought our food and Went over each dish . The food was amazing!!!

I had the chance to talk to the owner and chef several times during my visits. John, his wife and their team cook the best food in the area with high standards in terms of product quality, visual presentation on the plates and culinary finesse. You can see their enthusiasm for food and matching wines and drinks. My children also love the food.
I look forward to my next numerous visits!

Good Bistro style food. Upscale casual atmosphere. You can make reservations, which was a benefit since it was raining pretty hard.

Chef Jess is amazing! The menu is so incredibly different. We took the time to read and see what was each selection. So creative. My husband got the carpaccio appetizer. Said it was the best he has ever had. We got the focaccia and knots which come with a whipped feta and pesto spread which there are no words for. Main entrees were a crab and clam fettuccini. So delicious, light and flavorful. The other was a large wagyu meatball with these pasta/gnocci pods stuffed with cheese. The sauce was delicious. This place and Gather have never disappointed!

We had a fun dinner here with two other couples. The ambiance was great and the service excellent. My husband and I shared the Iberico Secreto, which was flavorful but chewy and a bit tough, meaning it was cooked too long, because the pork should be super tender. Our friend had the carpaccio, which looked excellent. We had the fog goat cheese appetizer and enjoyed it. The whole evening was really fun.

The service was ok not more then that
I tried to call to make a reservation they answered once and the hang up and never answered again
The pasta Bolognese was too much salty
The arancini was too much dry
The carbonara was OK but I didn’t eat that cause it was too much al dente
In the salad was too much dressing
The main dish of filet mignon with pasta in Alfredo dressing we didn’t even touch that
We basically didn’t eat nothing
The restaurant is good. They need to work more on the food. And it will be perfect.

Good food and friendly servers. Thoughtfully prepared, unique, mostly Italian inspired, dishes. We had the arancini and the mozzarella tomato salad for starters, the arancini were crisp and sitting in a rich truffle/parmesan sauce. The mozzarella tomato salad was in just enough dressing to coat the ingredients, but not overdone. We had the Bolognese and the red snapper. Both sauces were amazing, and the pasta was cooked to a perfect al dente.
