We really wanted to like the restaurant as Cape Coral is lacking upscale dining. The food descriptions online show ambition, even if the menu is lacking in vegetarian options.Sitting down, the starters were ok if forgettable, but we won't forget how the server dumped the entire bottle of wine in three glasses after they flung the icewater over the railing because we ordered sparkling. The mains we just not good, one was sitting in two inches of melted butter, one had a can of tomatoes dumped on pasta with no flavor development, one was topped with boursin instead of "whipped goat cheese".We had a nice time because it was a nice night and the company was good and the server was friendly. We decided to get a nightcap at another place and after we got there one of us had to run for the bathroom. They ate the local mushroom dish. All in all, disappointingly, not a place we will return to.

We are on a girls getaway from Michigan. We randomly found Sage on 47th. The place was a wonderful surprise and one of our best found in Cape Coral. Our waiter, Stone made our night unforgettable. His laughter is contagious. Our drink, Persimmons is highly recommended. We ordered multiple dishes and shared between us. We did not order anything that wasn’t A+.

Solid! Lots of competition on 47th for food and Sage should not be missed. Loved eating outside under a real, shaded roof. Waiter was helpful with suggestions so we started with a couple Hibiscus cocktails, Yuca fries and Steak bites. Shared the BEST, JUICIEST Lamb burger we have ever had! Still thinking about it! Parking on street or across in the lot.

The staff are always very attentive. Never have to wait for a drink. Food is delicious and it is always hot coming out of the kitchen. Overall my experience every week is awesome. I spend a lot of money. I know every visit will be awesome.I feel part of the family.Sage is just what cape Coral has needed for quite some time.

Phenomenal food with a wide variety of options make this a new favorite of mine. The owner, Ralph and his kitchen staff take great care of me and my food allergies and Mason has remembered me and pre-talked to the kitchen when I have returned. Can't say enough about the artistry in the dishes, from preparation to presentation to the taste of the food.

We were here on a weekend night for dinner and small plates. We sat outside, and I like the location. At first it was too noisy, but after the live music was over it was fine. I don't mind live music, but we were there with friends and wanting to talk with them. The food was good. Service was good. I wasn't expecting the Asian flair on the steak bites, but it was tasty.

We had late dinner there last night, started off with Delicious blue cheese Dirty Martini. We had mussels for an appetizer it was absolutely delicious. The Lamp chops were perfect , we had the local mushrooms accompany the mixed taste of fresh goodness.

Had a great time at Sage on 47th last night! Food and service were excellent! Also had the pleasure while sitting at the bar to get an up close view of the mixologist in action! Britt and the other bartenders are so talented! We will be back!

My wife and I had dinner here last evening. First the bad.... Although this in no way distinguishes this restaurant from any other modern restaurant, it was loud! There are no sound-absorbing surfaces in their large dining room. The music was turned up so that it could be heard above the din of a full room of diners conversing. Then when people left, it wasn't turned down to compensate. While we didn't exactly have to shout to have a conversation, the sound level was annoying. As for everything else, it was great! I had a special - red snapper on polenta with asparagus and a Spanish pepper sauce, and my wife had pork tenderloin with fingerlings and cauliflower. Both were delicious. Other reviewers have complained that the food was delivered cold. Our entrees were by no means piping hot, but neither were they too cool. The portions were not huge, but IMHO too many restaurants give you enormous portions that you can't (or shouldn't) finish. Our meals left enough room to share a dessert, in this case white chocolate and raspberry cheese cake. Amazingly good! Then there's the issue of drinks. It turns out that Ralph, the owner, is an experienced restauranteur and is passionate about bourbon in particular. I had one of their signature cocktails before dinner - The Empire Strikes Back - made with Redwood Empire bourbon. I had never heard of it, but it was delicious. After dinner, our waitress sent Ralph over to talk about their bourbons. He looks for distilleries that are somewhat out of the mainstream and make a great product at a reasonable price. My wife had the Redwood Empire bourbon and water. I had a High West, made in Utah, on the rocks. Again, a very good choice and one I had never had before. Finally, the cost. While this was by no means a cheap night out, the bill was certainly not out of line with what you would pay at any good restaurant in town for two entrees, four drinks and a dessert. We added a generous tip, as our server was attentive and got us all the information we needed to make our choices. We will be back.

Our Server Stone was absolutely fantastic… friendly, charming and attentive. We started with chared Oysters and local mushroom appetizers which were …meh. The oysters were just grilled in shell with breadcrumbs on top… uninspired. Chef should look to New Orleans on how to prepare chargrilled oysters. The local mushrooms appetizer was also mediocre, beautifully presented, yet bland and uninspired. For mains we had the mushroom risotto special with added blackened scallops and pork cheeks. The risotto was delicious and the scallops nicely grilled… flavorful. My dining companion said the pork dish was good, as a vegetarian I did not taste it. However, both were not quite hot, just moderately warm when placed on the table. For dessert we ordered the peanut butter chocolate pie and the pecan pie à la mode. The pecan pie was hands-down the most delicious I’ve ever had anywhere! Loaded with large pecans and not too sweet. A modest dollop of vanilla ice cream on top, and serving a fresh whipped cream with sliced strawberry on the side. Delightful! Absolutely perfect! I’m told that the chocolate peanut butter pie was equally delicious although I did not try it. Outside dining is lovely, a very quaint and cozy ambience. Inside seemed a little bit cavernous and loud, not cozy and inviting like the patio out front. Overall, it was a pleasant dining experience, our server was darling… And will definitely come back and give it another try… If for nothing else but that pecan pie!
