We got curbside pick up. The food was delicious. There was confusion about the address and the time that they close because of what was online. we found it and got there 20 min after they closed. I felt so bad bad but they were understanding and really sweet . The food was so good I forgot to take a pic.

Went for the first time just based of reviews and this place is AMAZING!! Not only is the food absolutely delicious but their service is 5 star! It id a relaxed sort of romantic atmosphere and boasts a nice ceviche bar. I had the fish and shrimp ceviche and the chaufa rice with chicken shrimp and steak. Portions are on the large side, great for sharing or taking some home!

We were vacationing in Cape Coral and were led to this wonderful Peruvian restaurant by other Yelpers. We had a jar of Sangria - very good, not too sweet. My husband and I shared the Ceviche Mixto, which was excellent and so refreshing with very fresh ingredients. I had the Arroz con Mariscos, Peruvian Paella, which was delicious with lots of fresh seafood. It was seasoned well with a hint of smoked paprika. My husband had the Sumaq Parihuela, fish soup. He said it was good, but he would have liked more seasoning/spices. I took half of the Paella home so I had room for the flan, which was a perfect way to end the meal. Beatriz our waitress was so sweet, also. It makes dining out so much more pleasant to have someone like her helping you. I recommend Sumaq!

The food was fantastic. The Ceviche de Camarones was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Our party of 6 ordered a pretty wide variety of meals, but everyone was super happy with their food. I got the Chaufa Sumaq and loved it! Super flavorful and delicious. The Tacu Tacu a lo Macho was one of those dishes where you take one bite and stop eating for a second while you take in the glory of your food and longingly stare at your plate. Unfortunately, they were out of flan. Very sad. Deducted one star because the service was pretty poor. The poor server was alone on a Friday evening and had 6 tables, was hostessing, and bussing tables. She was very friendly and apologetic but definitely overwhelmed. She did her best but this resulted in her forgetting some things and long wait times.

First time here best salteado ever the waitress asked how I wanted my steak cooked ! I've had this dish many times many places and no one has ever asked me that before. I said medium rare and It was cooked perfect the sauce was also great. If you like Peruvian food this is the best in the cape a must try.

The food we had at Sumaq was as good as anything we had in Peru. The Causa appetizer has moist and tasty, and our dinners had generous portions of seafood with wonderful flavors. The restaurant is attractive and inviting, and the Da Capo Ensemble Band provided excellent live music the night we were there.

I love trying different ethic foods. The food at Sumaq was absolutely delicious. The service was phenomenal. When I saw the table cloths, I thought it would be expensive, but the prices are reasonable. We started with avocado stuffed with shrimp, I had filet mignon beef tips which was cooked exactly as I asked. Not over cooked. My husband had the Jalea Mixta, nice light batter, not too heavy. We were given a sample of a cake served in Peru which was out of this world. And we are not big on cake. Would not hesitate to go back again. Highly recommend.
