Delicious, I ordered buche and tripa taco and my husband had a barbecue. They reminded me of my Mexico. The place is small but now it is my favorite. I recommend it to ? ???

Got a great review from a co worker to check this place out, went there with my family and weren’t given a menu for 5-10 mins, service was eh, EVERYONE (cooks, servers and busboys) came out to look at us weird(3 hungry kids in the group), nausea and upset stomachs a few hours later. Food wasn’t horrible to taste but I def expected better.

Kid-friendliness: Not really, my kids were loud, but everyone gave us a not wanted feeling from the start.

Edit to add: I have been severely sick since I have eaten here. Absolutely do not recommend this place.

This is the 4th time I’ve tried Tacos San Miguel and every time I have a different opinion because it’s always seasoned either fantastic or it’s completely flavorless. This time it was half and half. I think I’m finally done trying them and I’ll be moving on to find a better place for tacos. I ordered the shredded beef taco, steak taco, fried pork taco and chicken taco along with a side of yellow rice and refried beans. To start, the chicken was alright. Didn’t knock my socks off, pretty basic. The fried pork was a tad bit better but had pieces that were so over fried, they were hard to eat. The steak taco was impossible to eat…it literally was so overcooked, I couldn’t even ripe a piece off. The piece I did get to eat was flavorless and tasted almost metallic. The shredded beef was the best one and had the most flavor. The red salsa was pretty flavorless and just spicy which was super odd but the green salsa had good flavor. The rice and beans? Meh. The yellow rice was hard and again, flavorless and I’ve never had more flavorless and overcooked refried beans in my life. Sadly, I could get better refried beans at Taco Bell. They do make good horchata, which is a plus.

My friends and I were looking for a nearby lunch option after finding out our first choice wouldn’t work. We found San Miguel via Google Search; it was directly across the road from where we were, and we were very hungry, so we made a beeline for it. San Miguel is located in a strip mall (same one as FK Your Diet), but is not visible from the street — it is beyond the visible storefronts, down an open-air walkway. There are no signs in the parking lot which might make it hard to find your way to the restaurant for some (like us). Being completely under cover probably allows the restaurant and its customers to help stay cool, however. We were fortunate to walk into a completely empty restaurant, so we had our choice of seating and were served instantly. The menu is fairly simple and straightforward, and there is no alcohol available. I usually like a beer with my Mexican food, so no alcohol was a bit of a downer for me. The lack of booze and signage to make the place easier to find are the only downsides for me. The menu has authentic Mexican options, as well as kids’ options. I opted for several different types of tacos (pictured), which are ordered a la carte. The food came out quickly. Each taco was delicious — I highly recommend the chorizo. Even the chicken taco was great — it takes a lot to impress me with chicken in a restaurant. My friends had some other options, all of which looked great and were reviewed favorably by them. Chips and pico are available as an appetizer — I can understand a smaller restaurant wanting to charge for this to help make their bottom line. The pico is made fresh and was very good. Our waiter was polite and attentive. I will be back to this hidden hole-in-the-wall gem to enjoy their excellent food and great service again.

Kid-friendliness: The restaurant is brightly-colored and quiet — there was no loud music or television being played to distract. Staff was friendly, courteous and well-mannered.

Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on street level.

Unfortunately we’ve ordered numerous times and the last time we were enjoy our delicious meal and my husband pulled a very long black hair out of his mouth still in the burrito. Sorry to say but love the food but that just grosses us out. We’re sad.

I am particular about my food. The tamales were good especially for the price. The Carne Asada tacos and tostada were simple but tasty, but a little tough. But what do you expect for what they charge. Really reasonable. The best was the guacamole. I would recommend giving it a try.
