Went to Cubans on the Run to try their famous cuban sandwich. Had it on their sweet bread, which changes the sandwich name to “midnight”. Solid roast pork, gooey cheese and toasty bread. However, the spotlight definitely goes to the fried pork/masitas de puerco. It was the most flavorful dish I had during my entire stay in Orlando. The sautéed onions and garlic flavor is what makes this dish outstanding. I enjoyed mixing the beans with the rice, so good! At first, I thought it was the pork dish in the warmers when you walk in, which also looks delicious. But no, the fried pork is listed on the menu and it’s made to order. Very filling dish, generous portion.
We had a few of the fried snacks, beef empanada, papa rellena and the chicken croquette. The beef empanada was delicious, very savory, I could have easily eaten 4. The other two fried items were ok but probably wouldn’t eat again.

I had a fantastic experience with Cubans on the run. I spoke with Danny as we were having a family reunion gathering and I needed to supply food for a lot of people. I went and met with him, I tasted some of the food, placed the order, my son picked it up, had a sensational family reunion party and the food was outstanding. Danny called me within the next 2 days to find out how things went. Did I mention the price was really awesome too I would recommend Cubans on the run anytime.
