We have gone to Maury’s since it opened, and we loved it! We went today and got drinks at the bar, and the drinks were awful. Nothing like they used to be when it was Maury’s. We will not be going back.

They have lost a step, with the combining of Maury’s and Stretto’s they lost some good items on both menus. Service has dropped as well, front desk at entry nobody even looked at us. Our party was already seated so we just went back. Waitress seemed annoyed that we didn’t know exactly what we wanted or when we had a question about a kids menu, which they don’t have. And I don’t think 1 noodle dish and changing some words to Italian makes it an Italian chophouse. Steak I ordered was way too peppery and no flavor in the actual cut itself, also brought the wrong drinks out. It just seems like it’s fallen into the overpriced hotel restaurant category and not a unique dining experience anymore.

I was on vacation at the Sunseeker Resort, and I received the most phenomenal service from Chad and Cameron when I dined at Maury's on two separate occasions. Both Chad and Cameron were incredibly professional and operated with meticulous care, attention to detail, and foresight.
Furthermore, the food and cocktails were delicious, and I absolutely enjoyed the ambiance and live music. I highly recommend dining here and to request either gentlemen to make your dinner truly special.

Get the duroc pork chop. You won't regret it. Great food all around. Other highlights include the seafood Tower, truffle Mac, rack of lamb, pistachio ice cream with smoked caramel, and affogato. I was fully prepared to be disappointed and I was impressed instead - on two different nights. Service was good. Better one night than the other. The dining room is a bit loud depending on where you're seated.

We went on a Saturday night for (what we thought) would be a drink to scope out the place. The view is amazing and a piano player filled the air. One look at the menu and knew we were staying. The hostess, Megan, found us a table and explained the parking voucher system. You heard that right… Sunseekers now covers parking when eating/drinking at the property (win/win!)
The good: First of all, the pricing is absolutely appropriate for a good steak/seafood place. Compared to other high-end steak places in Fort Myers/Punta Gorda, their prices are completely on par. Secondly, the service is fabulous. Our server (Charlotte), is a Wisconsin girl that understands working hard and ensuring a positive experience. The steaks (bone in ribeye and filet) were the BEST we’ve had in SWFL from Venice to Naples. They were done to perfection and seasoned perfectly. The sides are family style, so larger than a traditional single serving and portioned to share. The Brussel sprouts were crisp and flavorful, an absolute winner. The au gratin potatoes were good as well, very creamy. The wine list is heavenly! They had multiple wines by the glass, held in a pressurized system for freshness. The wine by the bottle list was perfectly curated. Bottle wines ranged from $70 through $800, something for every pallet. after dinner, we did not partake in the desert menu. An after dinner drink produced a perfectly made Manhattan. In addition to all of the accolades above, it must be noted that Maury’s has stunning views of Charlotte Harbor. Though this was our first trip, we will definitely be back for many more. The food is worth every nickel, the service is beyond reproach (Charlotte was amazing!), and the parking is plentiful… And free. This place was worth every penny.
*We were told by Megan the name of Maury’s will be changing in a few months due to the sale of Sunseeker. However the chef, menu, and staff will all remain when the name changes to “Stretto“.

Ok, I searched for over an hour, looking for a restaurant that served halibut. On their menu. I was ecstatic to see Maurys had such. Only to find out, that is not on their menu as of a year ago. Sea bass is a very good fish (which they do offer at this time) and many other restaurants n the area. We decided to book reservations here as halibut was on their menu. Many , many restaurants offer sea bass n the immediate area , but not halibut. Cape Coral nor Port Charlotte ( although one restaurant in Wellan Park did mention halibut on their menu). Moral of this story - if u r looking for particular item on a menu, - call ahead. We have over $300 in our freezer of sea bass n our freezer, which all restaurants within a 50 mile radius offer. Halibut is obviously no were to b found in a n a 50 mile radius of Punta Gorda. Not to say Maurys was a disappoint , but they obviously need to update their website.

My first-time eating at Maury's. We called last minute on New Years Eve and didn't expect to be able to get in. They got us in and gave us a beautiful sweetheart booth which was great. We had the French onion soup which was very tasteful. I had the petite filet which was cooked to perfection, juicy and delicious. I definitely recommend the experience and I will return for more.
