Very cute place. We needed a cake for a going away celebration. We don’t speak Spanish but the woman up front was happy to get a translator and they were bothering so sweet to us. Very helpful, kind, and the cake was so moist!! Will definitely be back for other desserts.
10/10 would recommend! This small bakery brings me back to when I was a child and would go with my family to market with my family. My favorite part about this trip was going to the baked wall and pick out all the fresh baked goods and put on a pan! Highly recommend the Concha's or any of the sweet breads! TAMALES!!! I had the chicken with green sauce(a little spicy) but so so so good and the cheese and jalapeño tamale were good as well. I will definitely be a regular now!
I really dont know what went wrong.I been buying tamales from 5 de mayo since i move here 21 years ago best tamales ever.I got some today Very dry,No flavor,Really bad ,like another person is making them.I mean first time that we get tamales this bad.After all these years dont know if i want to try them again..Even the pastries were not the same.Do they have new owners ? Or new cook ?
