Dee the all pro manager is running a gem of a hide out bar on the water. She makes the atmosphere and the 5 star service the center of the waterfront bar. For over a year my wife and I have been coming here to see Dee and her crew and they have impressed us every single time. If you stay anywhere near cove cay, you have to come see Dee and her excellent waterfront bar.

I'm giving this a two-star rating because the tiki was cute and the bartender was nice. However, there were a few things we noticed that were pretty gross:

1. We asked for water, and it came from a sink filled with dirty dishes. Gross.
2. Another person (a female) came behind the bar, grabbed some ice for her cup, and then took some out with her hands and put it back with her bare hands.
3. The wings we ordered were definitely not fresh. They were mushy, soggy, and a dark grey color when I bit into them.

Overall, it seems like your typical dive bar. I'd give it another shot with different food, but the lobster bisque was clearly microwaved and super hot. Also, the guard at the gate is deterring people from visiting, making comments like, "Check it out, but you all look like you have all your teeth."

We found this place, and at first were a little confused as where it actually was, but was a great laid back outside dining, with nice people, and a cool vibe. I have the idea it’s a local spot which is even better. The food did take a long time to come out, and it all came at once, 90% of it was cold, may have tasted better hot. Gage and Caley(?) (bartender, )were so nice and made us feel so welcome.

We LOVE this bar/restaurant!! Food is amazing, drinks are affordable, Adam, Dee and Zan to name a few are great! Please stop by to enjoy all they have to offer!!

This is a nice relaxed atmosphere with cold drinks and good food. The bartender Dee just might be the best bartender in Clearwater! I love the chill vibe at the marina. Be sure to see Dee when you are there

When you first pull in don't panic, just let the guard know you are there to eat at AJ's and you will get a pass for your window. AJ's is located in the Cove Cay Marina, you have to drive into the boat Marina but keep going and you can't miss it. We love this place, sits in a perfect hidden little location. Beer, Seltzers, Wine options and a fun artificial grass outside area along with a covered inside bar area to sit at. Food is AWESOME and very fresh. Bartenders are awesome as well. My fav place to go when picking up friends and family from St. Pete/Clearwater Airport (PIE). On the way out you just drop your Window Tag into a drop box by the guard gate. TRY THIS PLACE!

Parking: "Street" parking is available in front of the Bar and back around the corner before you pull into the Bar there are small paid "street" parking spots available.

This is the greatest place anyone could stop if you’re looking to stop somewhere that’s on the water!! The food is fantastic and the beers are cold, what more could you ask for! Dee the bartender, is the most warming and welcoming face and makes the experience 10x better.

Nice little out of the way eatery and bar. Food was amazing - great hamburgers, and shrimp bowl! Would have given it 5 stars but the drunk guy at the bar with the loud profanity ruined it for us as well as the guests we took there for dinner Monday eve.

I'm so happy I discovered this local gem! Dee the bartender was so welcoming, informative and her food suggestions were on point! My Burger was juicy, huge and delicious! I saw a dolphin, enjoyed the local crowd, and great music. Do not be intimidated by going through the guard gate at the entrance of Cove Cay - they are super friendly and send you right through.
