The decor is very cute & enjoyed seeing popular characters from Toho monsters to Miyazaki characters in the art on the banners & the walls. We shared some snacks like Ikageso Karaage (fried squid tentacles) and the Mentaiko Fries. The street corn is very delicious. I tried the Kimchi Cream Udon with Tofu & loved it. 😍

We will return.

BG has become my local spot for sushi. Love everything about this place! I highly recommend if you’re in the area and want a cool, laid back vibe, with great food.

I have been a regular customer at Robata Sushi for a long time and usually enjoy great service, friendly staff, and delicious food. That’s why I was very disappointed with my recent experiences with the same server.

On one visit we waited a long time before even getting water. When the food finally started coming, only my appetizer was brought while my friends were left waiting much longer. I couldn’t eat while their food was missing, and by the time it came my order was already cold.

On the next visit, we were told to wait 30 minutes before ordering. After almost an hour, we still hadn’t received water until another staff member noticed and brought us tea.

I love this restaurant, and the other servers are always wonderful. But this kind of service is frustrating and can make loyal customers stop coming back. I hope the management takes this seriously.

The food is good — if you’ve never had Japanese skewers or Japanese classics (if you’re not necessarily looking for sushi) this place has a solid foundation in it. The atmosphere is similar to an izakaya (Japanese bar) but is decorative and kid friendly otherwise. I’m not sure how long the establishment has been open, but I think location wise no one would have issues with parking. My only caveat to the place is they have a smaller set of staff so patience is key if you end up going during a busier time. The wait is worth it but if you end up going in a bigger group plan to go during a time that isn’t as busy if you want food served faster. Otherwise, I recommend the place if you plan to chat for awhile with loved ones (catch up) and don’t mind food coming on the slower side. I’ll probably bring my other friends out here, since the drive to Orlando thar serves in a similar fashion is a bit of a drive. And it would have been nice if they kept certain orders separate — one person from my party had ordered one set of sushi from the other and it got placed on the same plate and no one realized until it was… well gone. Its fine at the end of the day but note for others if you don’t want other people’s orders on the same plate if you go out with friends.

I ordered the Japanese Beef Curry and a Kirin Draft beer. The curry was really disappointing. The curry flavor was very light as if it was barely there. The beef was poorly braised and wasn't fork tender. The temperature of the dish was strange. The beef and curry gravy were lukewarm while large chunks of carrot and potatoes weren't warm at all. Honestly, the best part of the meal was the Kirin draft beer.

Oh my goodness. The BEST food AND service I've ever had. The atmosphere is so inviting, the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely divine. No crumbs were left behind for sure.

Mail Mai was/is the best. I would come back to this restaurant again and again. The fish was so fresh, yellowtail carpaccio was awesome. Thank you for the food and the service.
