Extremely slow! Don't come here with kids or if you're hungry. Food took over an hour to come out. Food was mediocre and small portions for the price. Staff was nice. Overall my family had a poor experience and most likely will never go back.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all.

Beautiful elegant setting with great gulf and beach setting. Menu has many creative options .... even the cocktails.....combining ingredients that you usually would not expect. Sushi roll C and C had very large pieces.... too hard to eat without cutting. Also had sashimi which also had huge pieces....we go to many sushi restaurants at home incl James Beard award winner and never have it presented that way.

Entrées were good on par with expectations - what wasn’t expected at a three star restaurant was to share space with three very loud, obnoxious, drunken bar flies yelling and laughing at each other and dropping f-bombs while we ate. Waitress was young and understandably not eager to engage - which is fine - but no manager was walking around, making his presence known - when I notified him as we left the restaurant, he apologized but made no apparent move to remedy the situation - stayed at the nice, quiet podium in the front.Looked forward to a “nice” meal and evening but should have saved $100 and just eaten at Shipwrecked or some other bar that manages their crowd better… will stick with Beachcomber next time we want a “nice”meal out.

We had a girls night and Juan Carlos was our server. The food was yummy - we had the seafood platter and a few sushi rolls. All terrific. But the reason I'm even bothering to leave a five star review is because of Juan Carlos. He truly cared and strived to give us the best experience possible. That just doesn't happen anymore. It meant something to him and only when we acknowledged what a great experience he provided did he pull out his business card - well, the restaurant card - and wrote his name on the back. As a business owner I'm just really impressed!

Didn’t care for the hostess Gracie - a shame for such an awesome experience. We had reservation and requested a table in which she said all tables face the water she then took us back to the bar to wait again and then gave us same table we didn’t want in a corner with 2 walls. Seriously? Waiter was amazing and food was good

Celebrated my birthday dinner at Caretta’s this year. I was taking away by the view of the ocean! The staff was amazing. Did a couple of mini red wine tasting complementary of our server. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
My husband and I had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Caretta on the Gulf. Our fantastic waiter Juan Carlos was extremely attentive, professional, offering great suggestions. All the food was delicious, the chocolate mousse was beyond outstanding . We had a beautiful table facing the gulf, lighting was perfect. Would definitely recommend this restaurant for a special dinner.

This restaurant is probably the best in all of Clearwater beach. The food, the service and the atmosphere make a perfect dinner! Juan Carlos was a fabulous waiter who made our night even better! His knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on ! This is a must visit if you want to best of the best !

A must if in Clearwater, and especially while staying at the Sandpearl Resort. The service and food is top notch for breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. We’ve ate here multiple times, always happy and keep coming back. The steaks and seafood are amazing. The breakfast is what is pictured below. We did the crab cake Benedict, the steak and eggs, banana foster French toast and the buffet. The fresh squeezed orange juice is a must, along with the cheesy potatoes and freshly made waffles and omelets. The yogurt parfait is seriously the best I’ve ever had. I love their granola that is used, so delicious! Not to mention the GORGEOUS view surrounding you.

All I can say is wow! The staff were friendly and knew the menu very well. Our waitress explained each dish we had questions on beautifully. The atmosphere is impeccable. The wine list was nice, not too long so it was easy to pick one. Free valet when eating at the restaurant.The food was some of the best food I’ve ever had. We ate the pork belly for a starter, the elk and NY strip. The pork belly melts in your mouth. Everything was so flavorful and complimented each other nicely. I would love love love to eat here again.
