Used to be a great restaurant but service has gone down. The servers never include silverware in the bags. They are almost always late to bring out to go orders when they are supposed to be ready. Food is usually good. But besides that there is nothing good about this restaurant.

The food was fresh and waiter was very kind. I always can find something good on the menu for drinks and food. The steak bites were tender, but the kids shrimp portion was a bit small.

Always a great meal at Cheddars. We started with our favorite onion rings, then two great meals (chicken and pork chops). The croissants were amazing as always. This location tops it off with efficient and friendly service for a great experience every time.

Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen – Clearwater

I’m a big fan of Cheddar’s in St. Pete and Tampa, so I arrived in Clearwater expecting that same warm, flavour-forward comfort the brand usually nails. Unfortunately, this visit just didn’t measure up.

My sirloin—ordered well-done—came out cremated and dry, the kind of overcooking that takes all the joy out of a steak. Most of the food landed lukewarm, lacking the flavour punch I’ve come to expect from their other locations. And while my potato soup starter did eventually appear, it arrived halfway through my entrée… by then it felt more like an afterthought than a starter.

That said, the service and décor still hold the familiar Cheddar’s charm, and the team were pleasant throughout. Maybe it was simply an off day, but compared to its sister restaurants, Clearwater fell short.

Let me start by saying, ATTENTION MANAGEMENT. Me and my wife went to Cheddars on East Bay and HWY 19 next to Super Walmart. First I mentioned that it was my birthday and asked the server if there were any birthday discounts. She explained that it was a process to get points towards free dessert items. We ordered our food and drinks and waited nearly half an hour for our soup and salad. The server had a slight attitude as well. Nearly an hour later we received our entrées and our steaks were improperly undercooked. We ordered medium well but received medium rare. I don't want any solution other than management and staff replacement at this location. I'll make a prediction, that if this bad service continues this restaurant may end up closing sometime in the near future. I predicted Red Lobster (Largo Mall) closing and it actually happened. Golden Corral as well and it happened. Mark my words, I have several years experience in culinary. I've seen it all, trust me!

The server was great and very attentive. When it came to the meal, both my spouse and I did not like our food. Some reasons why: over battered shrimp, the key west tasted dirty, the fries werent good, etc. Theres a lot that we didnt enjoy about the food. I will say, the trio was worth coming for we loved the spinach dip. Also the croissants were yummy.
If we came back itd be for those two things only.

⭐️⭐️ Two-Star Review

Cheddar’s on Roosevelt Blvd has seriously gone downhill. Whether it’s new management or just lack of care, the quality and service are nowhere near what they used to be. Every single time I order to-go, they forget the croissants—*every time*. That’s a basic part of the meal, not some special request, and it’s ridiculous that they can’t get something that simple right. It used to be one of the best parts of the meal, and now it’s constantly missing.

Trying to call them is even worse. Today I was put on hold for 7 minutes the first time with zero response. Called again—another 4 minutes wasted. That’s over 10 minutes gone just trying to reach someone to fix *their* mistake. And this isn’t a slammed Friday night; this was a normal Thursday. There’s no excuse for this level of disregard.

It feels like customer service and attention to detail have completely disappeared. If Cheddar’s can’t handle basic to-go orders or answer the phone, they need to seriously rethink how they’re running this location. Customers shouldn’t have to beg to get the items they already paid for.

Our server Ariel was exceptional. All the food was great. Will definitely be coming back since we had such great service. The food was also really good. We enjoyed the burgers and salmon as well as the spinach dip and cheese tots.

Don’t know if they were all new people or just understaffed. Drinks arrived at all different times as did the food. No salt on margaritas which were pictured with salt rimmed glasses. Frozen drink goblets dribbled condensation all over shirts and laps. Most food arrived cold. Wait staff inquired about meal too late to do anything about it, and it took so long - we just ate it. Most food otherwise tasted good, albeit prep was very heavy handed with salt. Our first visit here. You only get one chance to make a first impression, and there are NUMEROUS restaurants to choose from.
