My family gathered for our first night of our family reunion at O'Keefe s Tavern. The staff was very welcoming to our large group. Kathy, our waitress, managed our group well. Robbie, came by our table to introduce himself and to see that everyone was okay. The food was great and we had a wonderful first night.
So, this is tough, because I LOVE me an Irish Pub. The atmosphere is more dark 1970s tavern style than Irish Pub, but it is clean. The employees were all great from the moment we walked in. I had the bangers and mash and was underwhelmed. The sausages were good, but for bangers and mash I would expect a lot more potatoes than the small single scoop on the side, and the gravy tasted like something out of a big bag from the food service. They had a meatloaf special and it was really good large, individual meatloaves. However, we went for the crock of mushrooms which we've had before.And it wasn't quite as good as the last time we went. They have a large irish menu and I really want to go back for the mulligans stew and the shepherd's pie.
