Having been coming to the area since I was a child in the 60’s, I’ve always been familiar with the cuisine locally. Back in the day, Pappas’ was the place to go. The newer Pappas’ has slipped considerably IMO and the one on McMullen Booth had closed. I had eaten at Famous Greek Salads when on 19 in the 80’s and early 90’s. But with so many options to choose from, just kind of had forgotten about it and honestly didn’t know where they’d relocated to for quite awhile.

The food was absolutely amazing. Order the Mediterranean gyro, and you will not be disappointed! Also ordered the rice pudding, which was phenomenal. Staff was very nice and the service was very quick. Can't wait to come back again.

The service deserves 6 stars. It felt like being hosted by energetic friends that were happy to see me. The food is fresh, full of flavor, and the textures are nicely balanced. The falafel wrap was good but the feta chips took the crown. Potato chips that tasted homemade, fluffy and crisp, topped with diced tomatoes, scallions and grated feta cheese.
The only thing I might ask for the next time is tyrokafteri (shatta would be an inferior but acceptable substitute). Oh,...
