Our search a for Tampa steak house continues with Bascom's providing a merely average experience. Our steak & lamb both lovely but here were the flubs: warm champagne cocktail (a first for me), harried service (zero busboys), & a dessert that looked phoned-in (3 pieces of waffle accompanied by some cannoli cream that had been scattered with choco chips). Oh and the bread service is extra.

The food was excellent with a wide variety of items to choose from. The wait staff was excellent, quick to respond, especially with our party of 8. This is a Clearwater gem.

Kathy is Awesome. The service is always great. The food is excellent. I always order the filets and my gf gets salmon. Millionaire bacon is very good as well. Love this place.

The food and the service were amazing. Staff was extremely polite and attentive. The portions were very generous. My wife ordered the prime rib and I ordered the chicken Marsala. Both entrees were huge manly sized portions. Each of us could shared our entree and been full. We were surprised at how much food they give you as fancy steak houses usually give small portions not Bascoms. We just finished eating our left overs and my wife couldn't finished the prime rib. It was enormous and absolutely delicious. The restaurant was beautiful and we can't wait to come back. So glad we made the decision to experience Bascoms Chop House. This is the best restaurant we been to in years. Thank you Bascoms!

We were seated 5 minutes early after arriving 15 minutes early for our reservation at a table right behind the aquarium and wine storage which made a very nice and quiet table setting. Our server, Alyssa A., was absolutely marvelous, new the answers to our questions regarding dinner options, quick with drink refills - never had to wait to take a drink, but not hovering, interrupting our conversation, or rushing us. The rewards program works well also and was easy to redeem points for cash. Overall it was a fantastic experience, I highly recommend Bascom's Chop House!

Nice to see there is still awesome customer service in the restaurant business. So many restaurants rush you in and out and don't care to your dining experience. Food was really good too!!

Ordered a 14 oz. ribeye medium rare. Steak was cooked correctly, but the steak contained a large amount of gristle. Very difficult to cut or chew. Did not finish the steak. Also ordered creamed spinach on the side. Have had it on past occasions and loved it, however, this time it was lacking. A bit too much cream sauce and not enough spinach.
Upscale restaurant with linen tables. Of course in Florida people pretty much dress in a range of options, but here you should really strive for button down shirt/pants and a dress. You'll see why when you do. I have done about 150 Google reviews, and have given 5 stars for service before, but honestly I have never witnessed food come out this quick, and still be fantastic. Scott S was our server and he was spectacular. If he didn't know something about a specific food that my wife wanted to order, he would do a quick double check to ensure it was safely gluten free for her to order. Not a ton of choices in the GF arena, but all-in-all the food is awesome. We had 6 of us in our party and basically got shrimp cocktails, shrimp risotto, Bascom's cannoli, lobster bisque, sea bass, creme brule, surf and turf, blueberry cheesecake, grouper oscar (yes, both together! - GF), and pecan crusted grouper. So we had apps, entrees, some alcohol, and desserts around the table, and walked out for about $100/pp with tip. Would go again in a minute. Great atmosphere as well.

Bascom's is the best restaurant in the entire Clearwater area for great food, service, and ambience. We have never been disappointed whether it is a business, family, or friend event - even on busy holidays. Nothing compares locally.

It was our first time going there, and we had high expectations and for the most part they were all fulfilled. The service was great and the prime rib was the best we've had in years. The onion soup was very good although it lacked a few flavors that I'm accustomed to having within the soup such as a little wine and maybe a little Worcestershire sauce type flavor but even so it is very delicious. Don't issue we had with the garlic shrimp appetizer was overcooked little rubbery, but we didn't miss it since the rest of the meal was so good . Definitely will go back

We had a group of 12 celebrating 4 birthdays and Chris did an amazing job taking care of all of us. We enjoyed every bite of our delicious lunch. I am a regular to Bascom's, but some of the guests were first time visitors and were thrilled with the food and service. Sometimes it difficult to please everyone in a large group, but not here. They are true professionals. From top notch service to the highest quality food you wouldn't be disappointed at Bascom's. They really are one of the finest steak and seafood restaurants in the area.
