Excellent! Our favorite go-to place for celebrations. We had the fried lobster appetizer then split a filet and lobster tail. Perfect amount to split and leave room for dessert! Our server, Allen was very knowledgeable and attentive. We had a wonderful evening.

I am a frequent guest at Bascom's, why? Because they are the best! Their service is impeccable from the moment you walk in, the host staff is always there to greet and welcome you with such professionalism but, still are friendly and hospitality. On to the superb waitstaff, they know exactly what they are doing, being a true steakhouse they they have the most knowledgeable and experienced servers around. They are attentive, but not always in the way. The food at Bascom's is some of the finest meats and freshest seafood there is, yes it's pricey but the best quality always is. Their chefs have never served us a bad meal, and management is always checking to make sure guests are happy. Don't miss an opportunity to try Bascom's you won't be disappointed.

I eat here once every seven to ten days. The bartenders are awesome and the food is great. Their bar manager just implemented a liquor management policy and now the drinks are like Longhorn's and Fridays. I ordered a martini and the glass was half full. Really cheapens their brand. You can spend $200-$300 for two people but then you get a Walmart drink. Ruins the experience. This was 1 of my top 2 favs in Tampa Bay but now it drops lower than the top 10. Penny wise but a dollar short. For a great experience ....drinks too, try Charley's, Beau & Mo's, Eddie V's or Ruth Chris or Longhorn's. I explained this to a manager and all he said was I will buy you a drink. That's not the point. It's all about the experience and they changed it.

We enjoyed everything about our dining experience. Upstairs was much quieter than down. The crooner was lovely and nice to be in the room next to him so he wasn't a distraction.

Last night, my family and I dined at Bascom's Chophouse for dinner, and it was an excellent experience. I had the Caesar salad and steak, while we all shared the buffalo cauliflower—everything was amazing! Along with a few rounds of drinks, it made for a great evening. The restaurant has been around for a while here in Pinellas County, and I think it's a charming little gem.

The food and service were great! The restaurant is in need of an update as the decor is a bit dated and the noise level was high. Service was outstanding and the food made up for it!

Food was great, our server not so great. We ordered appetizers of shrimp, billionaires bacon which I highly recommend, and calamari. We had steaks and prime rib for dinner which were delicious. Drinks were good as well.

We split a French onion soup which is the Best of the Bay a Ribeye, creamed spinach and truffle fries. Everything was hot, delicious and cooked perfectly. We always enjoy sitting at the bar and having a laugh with the bartenders and other patrons.

For a Tuesday, the place was packed. We were seated in a back room with about seven tables, at which there was also a very energetic 2-year old. The overall din of the room was very very loud and the cute toddler was able to be heard even above that din. However, lets talk food. We had the crab cake appetizer ($19) which was an abysmal, soggy, tasteless mess. We also had the wedge (which the lovely server suggested we have chopped to make it easier to share). It lost all luster, very little bacon or blue cheese and was left mostly uneaten. We also shared the garlic shrimp. Four large shrimp in a unremarkable garlic butter. Hmm, not a great start. Dinner was the pecan crusted grouper for the in-law, king cut prime rib for the Mrs. (I was looking forward to having some the next day) and the tomahawk ribeye for me (on tomahawk Tuesday its $99 instead of $125). In-law said hers was good, wife loved the prime rib (but could have used a cup of au jus on the side, not just splashed on the plate) and I was taken aback by my tomahawk. I almost gasped out loud. I understand the concept and have purchased many in the past. You pay a lot for the bone. I get it. However, the meat/bone ratio here was just plain ridiculous. The amount of meat was definitely less than the 18 oz prime ribeye they offer for $61. So if I do the math, I paid more than $39 for a bone. In addition, the meat itself was flavorless and very tough. Prime?? And, they don't tell or ask you if you want, the bone marrow, truffle infused butter that they put a quarter cup on top of the steak. It was overwhelming in flavor and not a flavor that I enjoyed. I scraped as much as I could get off of it once I realized, and that was pretty much too late. On the upside, prices of drinks are reasonable for a high end restaurant (no one had wine at our table) and the service was very good. With so many other high end steak houses in Tampa Bay, if you can make your way over a causeway, you may have a better experience.

We frequently dine at Bascom's because it has a very good grill and a nice atmosphere. Their steaks usually are tops in the Tampa Bay area. There were four in our party celebrating our daughter and son-in-law's anniversary. We had firecracker shrimp (good) as an appetizer for the table. Entrees included NY strip steak (good), 6 oz. filet mignon (average), grouper (very good), and pasta (good). We had two desserts - berries & cream (average) and a special dessert cocktail (good). We made the reservation several weeks ahead and were seated next to the restrooms. In the past, I have rated Bascom's higher than our most recent experience.

Our first experience dining at Bascoms was fabulous. The food was excellent, creative and beautifully presented. The service by Carla B. was exceptional. She's very experienced and her love of her job was evident. I'd definitely return.

First time visit to Bascom's Chop House. Was very impressed ! The front staff to the waiter was amazing. They were all friendly and professional. The food was perfect ! We had the filet mignon, garlic mashed potatoes, asparagus, and for dessert BlueberryCheesecake ( recommended by Brandon - our waiter). Our waiter was very friendly and professional !!!

Eric, the manager and Christopher, our server was exceptional at making sure our first visit was a wonderful experience. We came to celebrate my birthday, and I can truly say this restaurant was a great ending of the day.

We were excited to enjoy an evening out to celebrate my finances birthday. We chose your restaurant as we have been several times before and really enjoyed it. One of our favorites Not so much this time. Our server was very good. The meal was not. To start no salt or pepper on the table had to ask for it. A runner brought the food out but did not give us steak knives so we had to wait to start until the server came back. And then went to get them for us. She seemed a bit embarrassed. Prime rib was like warm at best and tough. Really had little to no taste. Grouper came out cold as well. The lobster Mac was warm. The sizzling plate was not sizzling. Hardly any lobster. Best part of meal was the bread. We were shocked to say the least. Usually a manager comes by to check on everything but that didn't happen either. Overall very very disappointing. Spent 150.00 and I don't think it was worth even close. We chose you over Ruth Chris's for this occasion and think we made a huge mistake. What happened we loved your restaurant. We didn't say anything and just left, both of us were disappointed and it was a special occasion, we didn't want to ruin our night out by complaining. Thank you.

Everyone in our party enjoyed there meals. My husband sent his prime rib back twice. It was tough and lacked flavor. The truffle fries are exceptional and it's a good serving. The blueberry cheesecake is the best. 4 people can share easily.
