Frenchy's Saltwater Cafe

If I could give you a six stars, I would we were staying at the Hilton Clearwater Beach and noticed your sign. Just a block away. We love to eat locally mom and Pop stuff. This is a great location food staff. Ian was our waiter. He is a little quirky, but just what we need when traveling with small children he was engaging and again just high spirits across the board love Clearwater so glad to see you guys are 100% after the hurricane last year. God bless him great job.

We visited this cafe many times in the past, in November 2024 last time but today we were so disappointed. Everything we ordered was subpar - undercooked and tasteless crab cake, over fried and tasting of rancid overused oil calamari, whole fried snapper that was really over fried - dry and rubbery. Even the soup that tasted kind of decent was not hot enough. The place was packed and maybe that affected the quality of the food but that’s not an excuse. What a shame - we were hoping to come here often during our current visit !

Once again, Geoff and I had the absolute best service AND food!!! Sweetest/best bartender ever, AMBER, sees us walking in and has our drinks ready! We had 1/2 lb warm steamed shrimp, Chopped Greek Salad, delicious special crab soup, Seafood Ceviche special AND their Weds Steak Sandwich special! (Yes, we had food to bring home! :). Absolutely the best, “Canadian CM”, kept us in smiles with wonderful attention! Manager, Chris, of course checked on everything!!!

We were walking by and decided to stop for lunch. Good Decision. We had the lunch special sirloin burger. Quite possibly the best burger I ever had. We will be back to try other items.

We ordered appetizers because the main meals were just so huge. The food was great.

First time I've been to this Frenchy's location. Don't think I'll be going back. Fid was okay. Atmosphere was good. UT the service, whole other story! People who were seated after we got out food had there bill and were leaving before we ever got out bill. Had to ask 3 times for out bill, and one of those times wasn't ever our server!

Our meal was fantastic! Our entrees and apps were phenomenal! Great options for kids, too. Great seafood and beach vibe! Fish tacos were the favorite of the table with the shrimp tacos a close second! Wedge salad was delish too! I appreciate the option for fruit as a side for the kiddos - they loved it!

We have been (semi) regulars usually boating in. Today I stopped in after a long motorcycle ride and had grouper nuggets and crab fries. The crab fries were tasty hence the 2 stars. The grouper nuggets were NOT grouper. More like catfish, and bad catfish at that. If you insist they are in fact grouper in the nuggets, then you really need to empty your walk in into the dumpster because it went bad a month ago. I've been on this coast for 20 years enjoying a variety of fish from dozens of places. Sadly, today you got my last dollar. I really should have told the bartender and had it fixed but I'm not a Karen or Darren so I paid and left. Lesson learned, I hope I'm not puking the night away...
P.S., I have my receipt if you'd like to make it right.

Very tasty and nice size portions. I had the Ahi Tuna Nachos. Incredible! If I had double the food it all would be gone.

This was our first time trying this location and it was an amazing experience. The food and service were excellent and we are planning to return before we leave.
