We had a large crowd, more than expected number of wheelchairs, and they accommodated all of us . They let us in about 15 minutes prior to their usual opening time so that we didn't have to sit in the sun. They were clean and gracious to all of us.

Great place to catch upnwith friends. Staff was awesome! Meal was a reasonable cost for bar and grill cuisine. They offered some really good outside seating as well.

Sat down and waited for almost 15 minutes and not a single person said anything to us. Also, they have really gross chairs, tables, and over all was just not very clean.

We’ve been here many times in the past and always thought that the food was good!
We went tonight on Taco Tuesday. Wife had a loose meat sandwich (MaidRite in Iowa) and thin French Fries!
I had the Taco Salad. Both were fantastic and the Busch Light on tap was cold!
Melanie R was our bartender and she was great! Very friendly!
I would have rated the atmosphere higher but there was no IOWA HAWKEYE sign in the window!
They did unfortunately have an isu sign!
If your in town you need to stop by and have some Iowa inspired food!

Really enjoyed the Philly Cheesesteak that I had here. Would definitely come again.

Just an average bar experience. Female bartender was nice and personable. Food was okay. Kind of bland and greasy.
Reasonable prices and decent atmosphere.

What a great local bistro!!!!!! The service from Jessica was outstanding... The food was delicious and the atmosphere quirky.... We absolutely loved it!!! Very reasonably priced and delicious... We will definitely be returning!!!

What's the point of asking how I'd like my burger if you cook it to a flavorless puck of well done regardless? And after waiting 25 minutes for it I'm not too interested in having it remade at that point.

Fries are overpriced and unseasoned. The way the server phrased it made it seem like they were included with the $13 burger, not additional.

After ruining the burger by overcooking it you'd think they'd maybe comp the fries that really should be included to begin with, but no.

For years, Pete And Shortys was my home away from home. I could always go in there and there would be a friendly crowd.

I don’t get a chance to get in as much as I used to, but when I do, I’m never disappointed. Pete and Shortys is a place that you can always call home and the food never disappoints, especially the pork tenderloin sammich.
