Best Cheesesteak in Clearwater and the greater Tampa Bay.Honestly, I almost didn't stop in because I'm constantly disappointed by places claiming they do "authentic" cheesesteaks, but this place hit all the marks and I can't imagine finding a better cheesesteak in the area.The bread was fresh w the perfect chew, the meat was piping hot, salted to perfection with the perfect ratio of shrooms and onions.If you crave an authentic cheesesteak and are tired of being disappointed by other establishments, go to Philly's Famous.

Saw they had moved and then read a local news story about how their rent was raised a ridiculous amount. They're actually in a much nicer place with great parking and the food is just as good. Yeah, you can't do a drive through order any more and it looks like pizza is off the menu too. Change is always difficult and some people write poor reviews because they think it's all about them! Well, guess what? The rest of us are very happy Philly's Famous is still up and running. Got my fix today and they seemed to be doing a good business. Good luck at the new location!

I first heard about this place when watching Bay News 9. I enjoy Philly Cheesesteaks and was impressed with the relocation story due to rent being quadrupled in prior location(why I don't know but that's another story). The foot long Philly Cheesesteak was superb(I was just there an hour ago). I'll be back and pass the word!Parking: Easily accessible!

so, this place had to move from east bay, just east of belcher because their landlord wanted to raise their rent by $8000 ... now thats crazy ... and ridiculous ... now they have moved to missouri ave across from walmart ... my wife and i ate there tonight ... we shared a philly cheese steak with wiz and onions ... AMAZING .... i got fries with it and she wanted churro fries ... the fries are amazing and the churro fries are to DIE for ... we as a public need to support bussineses like this who put out great product at a fair price ... im telling you now, if you dont try this place, your missing out on a great place to eat
If you're looking for a cheesesteak with green peppers, guacamole, truffle oil or any of the other nonsense that you see on a cheesesteak in some places then this is not the Cheesesteak place you want. But then again if you want an authentic cheesesteak the way that they are made in Philadelphia complete with amarosa rolls then you found the right place. Philly's famous cheesesteaks had to move into this new place through no fault of their own but it's a nice clean establishment with plenty of parking in a shopping plaza. The owner Paul is very personable and very easy to converse with . I wish him well in his new place of business.Paul , think of never beating Frankford High in football and you will know who left this review . I enjoyed my Cheesesteak today . ThanksTake care

Very friendly staff, lots of parking and convenient to get to in the new strip mall! I used to travel across town to their old destination but I am super excited because they have moved closer to my home which makes it easier for me to enjoy the delicious foods they offer which include Philly cheesesteak with a famous amarosa roll.
