We just recently came back famazing. second trip to Italy and the food here is better than what we had in Venice! Fresh made, great service, and overall amazing. Highly recommend.

Aqua Alta & owner Paolo is always a special treat! Tonight was no different. The food is exquisite - had the grilled octopus, and the ravioli special. Along with a beautiful Chianti and a special dessert by Patti… wonderful neighbours joining us… could not have been better! Thank you Paolo for such wonderful food and hospitality! Every single time!!!!

Definitely not what we expected! Party of 10. I understand they were chicken medallions, but, where’s the chicken? More like pounded out and fried with a little sauce. The filet was gray and chewy, the meatballs seemed undercooked, the ravioli was more spicy than anticipated. I’m not sure who enjoyed their dinner ?

The drinks were so beautiful and tasty! The main dish you could taste how fresh the pasta was and that was the best octopus I’ve ever had if I HAD to say a complaint there was a bit of lack of flavor in the pasta but like I said so fresh and octopus was amazing so was the tiramisu!

I was so obsessed with their pasta dish, so I ordered a bulk order to feed 8 people...but I ate it all myself. I love ❤️ this place

Delicious and authentic Italian cuisine. I got the cacio e pepe which is a special done on Tuesdays right at your table with the owner Paolo. He was very friendly and you can tell he really enjoys what he does. He is from Venice. I did not get the waiter's name but he was awesome as well. I am moving to the area soon and will be back! Thanks

Must have been a busy night but I sat there for an hour waiting on our food and it wasn’t even that great. The server did not come and say “hey we are really backed up or busy” or anything until u asked what was going on after being there an entire hour. Wont be going back.

Wow, aromatic, subtle and beautiful. The tableside Venetian Mac/Cheese, or, pecrorino wheel with fresh, homemade pasta is the epitome of fine dining in a little Cafe in Safety Harbor. Add a salad, bottle of Italian red, aka Tuscan Sangiovese. Perfection. Our leftovers will get us through Hurricane Helene...service is spot on, not solicitous, not overbearing. Everything was perfect.

Too small. Very limited menu. No beverages offered except wine and beer!! Oh! And water. Very expensive. Not worth price or time

Parking: Parking is a challenge as the limited space is shared with several other businesses.

Kid-friendliness: Families welcome

Wheelchair accessibility: Space too small

Absolutely AMAZING experience. Came here for my birthday and I left feeling so special. 5 star service from start to finish. The owner and waitress kept checking in to make sure everything was good (it always was) The focaccia classica is a must have! The owner did the table side Cacio Pepe in the cheese wheel and it was such an experience and delicious dish. Definitely authentic Italian food. They even brought out a little cake with a candle on it for my birthday. Me and my husband were so impressed with everything. This was our best dining experience. I highly recommend making a reservation and checking them out!

We’re regulars at Acqua Alta, and it’s easy to see why. Paolo and Patty, the husband-and-wife team behind this gem, always make us feel right at home. Their homemade Italian dishes are consistently fantastic, and the warm, friendly vibe makes every visit special. If you’re looking for a place where you’re treated like family and the food never disappoints, this is it. We can’t recommend it enough!

This place has amazing food! The food does take longer than your average restaurant. But this restaurant serves above average food. You get what you pay for. 5 Stars! They even make the dough for the noodles in house.
