Best fish and chips in town. Their jalapeño poppers are also a must — baked, not fried, fresh and crunchy. This is a laid-back, family-owned spot and my favorite place to support a small business. Everything is made to order. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights, and the rest of the week they play the best happy reggae island-style music. Always a great vibe.

Family run restaurant in an older home conversion. Kind of a funky dive vibe but they have a full bar, pool table, darts and live music Friday and Saturday nights. The food is really great. Fabulous burgers and steak burrito, but a full menu of seafood and pasta too. It all looks good and the spinach artichoke dip is awesome. A great find.

This was our first visit and since we live close by, we were excited to try it out. Our server and the food was great. The big disappointment came when we presented an AARP coupon for Sandshakers. It was for 25% off the bill. My husband showed it to the owner and he rudely told us it was fake and refused to honor it. Unfortunately, we would have been regular customers but with that attitude, we will never be back and I will make sure others know. It would have been really cool for the owner to honor it and then look into the issue with AARP but he was rude and couldn’t care less. There’s plenty of other places to eat in Clearwater!
