Very disappointed—likely because we had high expectations—but the food was a huge letdown. It felt like a joke compared to the beautiful setting and great location. This place really needs a major turnaround or serious improvement in the kitchen. Such a shame, because it has the potential to be so much better.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years, and it used to have great food and service. Recently, however, the quality of the flavors was terrible. I ordered a grouper bowl, and my grouper was dry and tasteless. The vegetables were so bad that I wouldn't even feed them to my dog. We waited a very long time for our drinks, and when our food arrived, we didn't have any silverware. After waiting for a while, we actually had to go get it ourselves. Opal Properties maintains a high standard for its food and services, so I'm shocked by how bad this particular location is. The place has an absolutely amazing view, but I will absolutely not be coming back here.

My wife and I stayed at the hotel for one night and decided to have lunch at the restaurant. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food. My wife ordered the chicken Caesar wrap, but the chicken was too dry. I had the Wagyu burger, which wasn’t very good either. Both meals came with chips, but they were underwhelming and especially disappointing considering the price we paid.
On the positive side, the waitress was very friendly and did a great job, and the restaurant itself looks nice. Service and atmosphere were good, but the food definitely did not meet expectations. If I were to come back, it would be for the drinks or the setting, but not for the food.

Cannot thank Paul and the staff at Tate’s for helping me pull off a small surprise for my dad and step-mom’s 25th anniversary! I live states away and wanted to pay for their meal. Not only did Paul call me and set up all the details, but I was sent the bill immediately and my parents were so surprised! Thank you!!!

Stopped by for lunch prior to heading to our next destination and we really enjoyed it. Wife and I shared the grouper nuggets along with the grilled chicken club. Everything was good and we also enjoyed the drinks! Reviewers seem to complain about the price, however this is located on the beach (world class) with fantastic views. I have no problem paying the “location” tax as it’s absolutely beautiful. Our server I believe his name was Patrick was awesome and really added to the experience in a positive way. I made a point to inform the manager as well, please take the time to do that when you are the beneficiary of great service!

We stayed at the Sandpearl and it was great to have the restaurant and service right to where we were sitting at the pool or beach. Prices are decent and service is great. You do have to watch out for the gulls. Grouper nuggets are a must and the frozen drinks are fantastic (add the rum floater).

We got kicked out for bringing a dog. I just wish someone would have kicked us out right away instead of having us wait 30 minutes. ac on the way in though? Primo.

Nice, casual american restaurant with the usual favorites like wings, burgers, fish sandwiches, bowls, salads and a good cocktail menu. The view of the sunset is incredible. Service was fast and polite, although we did need to get up to find silverware, napkins and small plates. We ordered the blackened fish sandwich, but it was too blackened, dry and burned. The wings were great, and the bowls were nicely done. They have live music (it was a Saturday). It's an ok place.
