I did not eat there but was impressed with the tearoom. I was there Weds, April 17. They were not serving tea that day. I had called ahead to order scones as I was traveling through the area. The scones are delicious! I had ordered Pina Colada, Caramel Walnut, and Apple Streusel. I also bought teas, and more than 1 teaset. When I had talked to Erika the day before she told me that they would not be serving tea that day and I told her I only wanted to shop as my husband and I both have medical issues. She told me to call her when I got there and she would let me in. She was very cordial as she showed me the different teasets that I could purchase. I spent a good bit of time there, probably more than an hour, with her and she was very helpful in helping me make my choices. I also met her Mom who was also very nice. I appreciated so much the fact that she allowed me to come in and shop while they were closed. Hopefully I may be able to go back there again and have tea! I had a wonderful experience there and Erika could not have been any nicer. Thank you so much, Erika, for your helpfulness and kindness. It was nice getting to meet and talk with you.

The food is mediocre at best. Some of my friends thought the egg salad was a little off.Great soup and lovely tea. But as a tea place it pales. They actually give a lunch. No tiered assortment of tiny sandwiches. But there's a scone.

The owners were rude and distracted from an experience that we paid for. Because that was old and crusty the egg?? salad caused many of us intestinal issues. The Yorkshire pudding was raw in the middle. Very overpriced not worth the money nor time!!The scone was very good although she only served it with a white chocolate butter no clotted cream or jams not even one asked for we're not available.

Wow! I didn't know racism like this was still around. I always thought people must be exaggerating, but here we are! Why would someone own a business and then be rude and hateful at every opportunity? It's almost like she's playing the role of a villain in a play. Surely people aren't ACTUALLY like this, and she's just acting, right? But no, she's real.

My family and I went for St. Patricks Day tea & it was lovely! Every staff member was very delightful & attentive. Each course had a tea to complement its flavor. So much thought was put into the overall theme of the tea. Lila said she cooked all of the food & she does great! Definitely a good spot to go to for tea.Wheelchair accessibility: My grandmother is in a wheelchair & they exceptionally catered to all of her needs!

Our experience at the Saint Patrick's Day tea today was delightful and very refreshing. The service was impeccable and the food was well suited to the theme. The scones were some of the best we've ever had. Definitely worth a return trip.

It was very nice. Everyone was so polite. The atmosphere nice I love how they have it designed, it felt like home. The food was fair, the teas were excellent and the service is awesome! I loved it very much. Looking to go back soon.

My wife and I came here from Vero Beach for the afternoon tea experience on 01/13/23. Our curiosity about this establishment was piqued after reading all the negative reviews. Overall, we had a good experience. Our server was a very nice lady. I had the winter spice tea and my wife had the raspberry almond tea. We both enjoyed our teas. The drawback was that they do not have honey to go along with the tea. The scones were delicious and they did not taste microwaved. I am not a fan of onion soup but it was passable. My wife enjoyed the onion soup very much. The quiche was very good and along with the teas was the best part of the meal for me. That said, the bread used for the sandwiches was not the choice I would have made and the cream cheese overpowered the cucumbers. As for the negatives that prevail these reviews, some are maybe founded but others are not. Erika, assuming it was her, I can sense that she is the hovering type, although she did not hover over us when we were browsing merchandise but one definitely got the feeling that one cannot necessarily touch or hold items to feel them out. She walked us around to explain what the items were etc, so at least she was informative. We did not experience any type of rudeness from either her or her staff. The ambiance of the place is nice and comfortable but yes, I think she can do something about moving the boxes out of sight in the main dining area and do a better job of concealing her little office space. Furthermore, yes, the door appears to be locked and not just anybody can walk in on the fly to look around. That is a little weird and she can do a better job by making it clear by posting a visible note on the door that it’s open with reservation only. Lastly, to address the racism rumors, not sure she can be labeled a racist when one of her servers was a dark skinned lady. Granted it may be for optics but ultimately, I believe it’s just people who enjoy playing the perpetual victim by using the race/victim card any chance they get because that is all they have in life. I will come back to Erika’s for another test run in the future.

Rude, snarky, hovering, smirking, unfriendly, and very disappointing. And no, honey, I’m not going to break your stuff by touching it. Get over yourself. Tea is supposed to be a light and wonderful experience but you simply don’t get it. And maybe you might be able to serve some tea since you “call” it a tea room? I was nothing but pleasant and complimentary but you reek of unhappiness.

One star only so I can actually leave a review. If you think this is “British or English” style tea and scones, keep moving. The rudeness of the owner/cook and front of house staff leaves a lot to be desired. We were actually asked to leave because the owner was offended that we didn’t care for one of her scones. She gave us the evil eye and grumbled and complained the whole time we were there. Bad etiquette in microwaving your “scones” by the way. The soup was bland, the sandwiches over powered by cream cheese and wrong bread choice for the filling. Will I return? This little Scots woman will never darken their door again!!!

Reservation only! (this isn't widely posted anywhere on google) We were greeted with a locked door during the "open" hours. When we stood outside trying to open the door, a simple "We are reservation only, but we would love to have you dine with us soon!" would go a long way. Instead, we received stares and no explanation. I did dine here many years ago and remember liking it, just a shame I couldn't have the same experience again.

WORST TEA ROOM EVER As a doctor traveling the US with the woman I love, we have been to more tea rooms than we can count. Tea rooms are normally run by professional, kind, mannerly women who work tirelessly to create a pleasant dining experience for their patrons. Not Ericka’s. We arrived to a locked door, an unapologetic, unprofessional owner (Erika) who badly needs intense customer service training. Our dining experience proceeded to deteriorate from there. The manners on display at Erika’s would be well suited to a longshoreman dock or a UFC knockdown. Buyer beware!Steer clear of Ericka’s. Walking out the door and going to the neighboring Keke’s where we were treated kindly and professionally by a wonderful waitress was the best move we’ve made in a long time. As a kindness to our fellow diners, we suggest consulting Ericka’s Yelp reviews which speak at length to the rudeness, unprofessional manners and bad business we experienced upon entering the doors of Erika’s Tea Room. TOO BAD-SO SAD.

This woman is just flat out racist. Anyone planning to come here DONT. She is very prejudice and will only help white individuals.

Erika’s Tea Room is a fabulous hidden gem in the heart of downtown Clermont. We just love going there for High Tea. Everything is made from scratch and with love! The variety of teas to choose from are incredible! The scones are simply the best! Second to none! They are moist yet crumbly like they are supposed to be. Not dense or hard and the delicious white chocolate Devonshire cream - muah! The homemade soup is always hot and delightful. No matter what soup is offered it is sure to make your taste buds sing. The tea sandwiches are made with wonderful fresh bread and the favors of the chicken salad, egg salad, tuna salad, cucumber cream cheese, etc. are all to die for! The quiche? Wow, where do I start with that? It is always extraordinary! I love all the different varieties that are offered from traditional Lorraine to my personal favorite sweet potato. Ohhhhh, wait I’m not done yet. The desserts you say? Those delectable treats are such a nice way to close out the meal whether it is a cupcake, tart or pie it is sure to be make you wanting to come back for more. Don’t miss out on going here!
