Four Palates Gelato & Bakery

I really like the staff, the atmosphere, the coffee, and their breakfasts. Cakes are good but can be a bit dry. However, I just can’t give a place a great review when they are closed half the time I try to go there during their posted business hours. It’s almost 9 and they were supposed to be open at 8. I’ve come after 9 before and they were locked. I’ve even come in the afternoon some days and they weren’t open during their posted hours.

Friends, I’m actively trying to give my money to this small business but I cannot if you are closed. I’ll have to choose other places that won’t waste my time.

The owners are very nice people! We come back every year on vacay. We love their coffee and pastry’s! The best in the area.

I absolutely love this bakery! Their cheesecakes are always amazing — rich, creamy, and available in so many delicious flavors. Today I am having the raspberry cheesecake. I also enjoy their breakfast options, which are always fresh and satisfying. The owner is hospitable, and the atmosphere makes it a great place to start the day. Highly recommend for anyone who loves good food and great desserts!

Why the reason for the 1 star? I've given this place enough chances..

1. Formerly had hours set to 7AM, I showed up a little past 7AM, place was closed. Now it's updated to 8AM on maps which I imagine is correct.

2. Went in personally one morning during breakfast hours, to be met by a young lady that had no clue what the breakfast menu was. She turned on a tv behind her that had a lunch menu on it. We asked about breakfast and she said she didn't know. We bought a coffee and left.

3. We just ordered breakfast for delivery this morning and found our sausage in our french toast and were missing our eggs as an addon.

I want to like Four Palates but I haven't been given a good reason for it yet.. the food is fine and the coffee was good at least.

The waffles and pancakes taste good. The eggs and bacon are bad. I would like to try other items on the menu, but I can't because everytime I order, they are out of everything or they cancel my online order. The store is currently unavailable on any delivery app despite being open and the staff is rude and unwelcoming.

Ordered online, was shown a picture of a croissant, received a bagel. Worker made it right by refunding. Would be nice if people kept their merchant storefronts updated so people didn’t waste their efforts and time. Wish I could’ve enjoyed it. Oh well.

Hugh and team made us a beautiful custom cake for our parent’s 50th anniversary. He was very helpful in giving us ideas and worked with us on all the details for the decorations. The cake was absolutely delicious!

We highly recommend them!

Probably the best avocado toast I've ever had. It was a masterful combination of simple ingredients. Cute little place. Absolutely adorable desserts and gelato. The staff was great and accommodating. I will be back!

Honestly one of the best Sunday evening experiences that I’ve had eating good food and tasty desserts. The owner was kind and welcoming, and ensured that everything was made to our liking AND FROM SCRATCH! 10/10 experience

First time in the gentleman act as if he did not wanna wait on me or was surprised I was there. When I asked about prices, he gave me the quick price rundown as if he was busy. I ordered carrot cake, cannolis, and they were the worst I ever had. The cannolis were soft and soggy and the carrot cake tasted old . The cannolis were small and at almost 4 bucks apiece. I spent 30 bucks in there only to get them home and wonder who is reviewing this place because I feel gypped.

Ordered the tres leches cake through DoorDash- tasted like spoiled ingredients/milk was used. Tasted sour. Can’t say for other food items here, but will not be getting the tres leches again. I don’t recommend It

Two workers that work there appear to pushing their religious beliefs by asking customers about how they feel about religion and then bashing them if their thoughts do not coincide with their own. After being questioned about this topic by a worker, while my friends and i were simply stopping in for a latte, A worker proceeded to tell my friend that their crystal bracelets they were wearing were “demonic”! This was completely upsetting and it is extremely unprofessional! The employees were asking uncomfortable, personal questions to us all and told us that we were feeling anxious because we were “not Godly”. This is the worst and most uncomfortable experience I've ever had in ANY store. my friends and I only went in there to buy a latte during a fun birthday outing, but instead got harassed and told that we were “demonic” and that we were “sexual demons” because of two dainty crystal bracelets! These people know absolutely nothing about us or our religious background and beliefs. This was harassment to the greatest extent and was completely CRAZY, unnecessary and disgusting!!
