When the whole rack of ribs is on special it's a great deal. But..... The chopped pork is very fatty. I've been to many BBQ places and usually the pulled pork is really lean.

Truly disappointing especially given how excited I was reading all of the positive reviews.Here from Vegas and wanted to try a different barbecue place than the one we normally visit.The only thing that was edible and good were the fried green beans.The coleslaw and regular green beans were under seasoned and completely tasteless.The okra had the consistency and taste of a dirty dish sponge….Ate two pieces and tossed in trash.The pulled pork was overcooked and had way too much barbecue sauce. What I really was looking forward to was the barbecue chicken. I ordered a quarter chicken with leg and it was honestly the worst I’ve ever had. It looked more like a Cornish hen the portion was so small and there was not an ounce of moisture anywhere in that meat.No amount of sauce or ranch dressing was going to make it worth eating. What a shame and a waste. For dark meat to be that dry takes quite a bit of effort. Aside from the ribs which were mediocre at best, everything was thrown in the trash… Oh, and except for the fried green beans.Very disappointed and will most definitely not be going back to this place…..The employees were very nice andpolite just as a sidenote and to be fair.

Since moving to the area 6 years ago Oakwood Smokehouse is our go to restaurant for smoked ribs and chicken. The staff is great, it’s a relaxed atmosphere and the food is always good. In 6 years we’ve never a bad meal. Now what’s really important to us is that the food is consistent in 6 years the food quality has not changed that’s why we love eating here whether dining in or takeout the food is great thank you Oakwood Smokehouse.

The service and the ribs are a solid 5! The fried shrimp were not edible and more panko than what was supposed to be shrimp. The prices are unbelievable and really good! The onion rings and sweet potato fries are straight out of a bag. The collards are okay. Who doesn’t love Texas Toast!

Food was served quickly and hot. Meat was vet tender and tasted awesome. Extra napkins on table with extra sauces all tasting wonderful. I tried each one. Service was excellent. Server came around actually checking if you needed anything else with smiles on their faces!!
