Please note, I emailed them about my experience with feedback and have not gotten a response. I guess a review is in order. If you are looking seriously to adopt, this may not be the place for you. Especially, if you are interested in a specific cat that you may have seen online. The experience and atmosphere feels very much like a petting zoo or a children’s daycare. It is definitely run more like an attraction and adoption seems to be the secondary purpose of the business. Having to be in a large group that is herded into the room on the hour where the cats are, and after paying your admission fee is not the best feeling in the world. When I approached a staff member about a specific cat i was serious about adopting I was told I had to go spend a more time with them before they could help me. 15 minutes of awkwardly trying to spend time with the cat I was interested in, while children pawed at him and other people were standing around staring at him or me trying to spend time with him. No one ever followed up checking on me or the cat. I was expecting that when I said I was ready to adopt a cat I would have been given some more consideration than the family there on vacation just to pet the kitties for fun. After waiting about 30 minutes I just felt far too uncomfortable with the entire scope of the place that I very sadly did not put in an application and left before my allotted 1 hour was up. I hope that maybe in the future there might be some changes to the process. Perhaps, separate appointments for people looking to adopt a specific cat or a separate room to spend time privately with them. When working with an incredible organization like the SPCA, the absolute #1 priority should be finding loving homes for the animals. I will always support people or places dedicated to taking care of animals in need. Pets in need are not an attraction to be booked.

Drove 45 min to see cats. When we made it there were unable to spend time with cats because it’s per reservation in advance only. Brochure did not say that….kids were disappointed. Now don’t have time to come back sadly.

The people were very kind and the volunteers were very nice as well and the cats were so adorable and very cute and I’m happy I got to be here

they charge an arm and a leg for cats and expect your current cats to be tested for some uncommon disease, even shelters never heard of. their food is also hella mid

My husband surprised me with a trip here for my birthday! We drove two hours and had the best time! Tasty coffees, friendly cat room attendant, and adorable kitties!! A good mix of adult cats and kittens, Luke was our favorite! An hour goes by too fast! We’ll definitely be back!

I came to the Cat Cafe for the experience. When I came in, the staff lacked enthusiasm. Also, there were not as many cats as advertised. I understand that not all cats want to come out to the public, but it shouldn't be advertised that there will be 13 cats when roughly 7 showed up. There were more people in the cafe than cats so it was a little difficult to interact with them.

The volunteers are great. The actual paid staff especially the young larger lady was incredibly rude. She is lucky she wasn't slapped. Beware they throw you out on the hour. Even though they say they'll give you the hour of time, they lie. Make reservations and get there on the hour. It is fun for the little ones.

1. The main thing I wanted to point out was the lack of natural light. Even the bit of natural lighting that would come in is blocked by signs and even a curtain shade. I was seeing the cats laying on the tiny sliver of sunlight that comes in because we all know cats love to lay in the sun and improves their quality of life, and this place completely ignores it.

2. It’s expensive for what it is. $12 per person is really a lot. I understand it’s probably to help with the maintenance and such but it seems very excessive knowing they’re making money with the cafe because of the cats regardless.

3. The concept of a cat cafe is nice of course, but it’s not well made. It’s actually the least cozy and warm one I’ve ever been in. The cafe is completely separate from the cats which is expected for where they make the food and drinks, but we ate where the cats were and it felt off, not well integrated.

For example, go to a shelter like Hoffmeyer animal rescue. There’s natural light everywhere, it’s so cozy, and free to go look at the cats.

It’s good what you’re doing, but room for improvement

**Disappointing Experience at Cat Cafe Orlando (Clermont)**

We recently visited Cat Cafe Orlando in Clermont with high hopes for our daughters to have a wonderful time interacting with the cats. Unfortunately, our experience was far from what we expected. We paid for an hour of interaction, but our daughters left feeling disappointed and upset.

Despite our best efforts, they were unable to get any meaningful interaction with the cats. Other visitors monopolized the cats' attention for the entire hour, and the three employees present made no effort to facilitate a fair and enjoyable experience for everyone. It was disheartening to see our daughters so sad and disappointed.

When we notified the staff about our experience, it felt like they brushed off our concerns and simply told us to come back when it’s less busy. We believe that more structure and guidance from the employees are needed to ensure that all visitors get the experience that is promised and promoted. As parents, we feel let down and saddened by this experience.

Not there yet but whatever it is just to rescue the cats is worth it, it's so pity those who give this place 1 star because they have no love!

The Orlando Cat Café is completely false advertising! First you have to pay overpriced small drink for +$5 and then they expect you to pay another $10 per person just to enter the secure cat area. You've been warned!

The cats are so soft and friendly. They have lots of room to run around and have a space to hide when they don't want to be with people. The coffee was also very good, especially the creme brulee latte.
