Our service was exceptional and the food tasty. Our crab cakes were light and well seasoned. And the onion soup is some of the best I've ever had. But the ambiance, which I thought was a bit nicer from the photos online, leaves something to be desired. The lights were too bright giving it a cafeteria feel and one customer even had a leg propped up on a chair like he was at home. Sadly no injury was obvious when he stood to leave. I've dined all over the world and cannot say I've ever seen anything quite like this before. So it's a great place if you're looking for good food in a very casual setting.

This is a lovely restaurant. Service was excellent. Food was very good. Steak cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. Pork Chop huge and was excellent as well. Sides were great. Service was very intentional and every request was fulfilled with a smile.

We had a lovely dinner here while on vacation, and I would go back again if in the area because I am a fan of farm-to-table fare, and I really think they are very close to achieving a next-level dining experience. We had reservations, yet we were seated right by the door - not something I normally expect when having a reservation. The pork Belly Lollipops were decadent perfection. I ordered the Korean BBQ Salmon, and while it was cooked perfectly, it fell a little flat for me. I wanted "soy - sesame oil - gochujang" flavor but what I got was a little too "southern bbq." I felt rice would have been a better starch choice than mashed potatoes (which were very good, by the way, even though I didn't eat a lot of them.) Sadly, they are falling into this current trend trap of serving under-cooked vegetables - the broccoli was very hard. (As an aside, I'd appreciate if the baseboard painting gets completed and any post-seasonal decor gets removed.) As I said, I would dine here again, and I recommend you give it a try!

We always try to fit in the patio when weather permits and last night was perfect. A few plants and some decor out there would be more inviting, but it's quiet and we old folks can hear the conversation! Great food... terrific service!

Food and service was outstanding! Wine pairings compliment each course beautifully. Chef and Manager Dave made our group feel at home and George took excelente care of our table. Will definitely be back.

We celebrated my husband's birthday; they put us in a special room with a round table and it was perfect! Such a great location, and the food was sensational. Everyone had empty plates - the table ordered the smash burger, whiskey burger, salad with grilled chicken, kids burger, Korean bbq salmon, tenders and macaroni and cheese, and the lemon chicken with the veggies and masked potatoes. The food was accommodated for the dietary needs at the table without any issues. Daniel did an amazing job! We will definitely be back. Thank you!!

Food and service were amazing. A little too loud for my liking, but we definitely will be returning!

We've never had a bad experience at R&B so this time we brought our friends. We started visiting them right around COVID and have kept going back, praying to help the best businesses stay in business especially during hard times. The food has always been consistently good but recently they got a new chef. So things that were good before are even better now (e.g., the French onion soup). Servers are always great, but Amber is our favorite so we ask for her whenever she's working.

We have been going to Root & Branch since it first opened and we are always impressed with the meal and the staff. We will be back again and again

We waited 55 minutes to get our food and we ordered smash burgers which were absolutely delicious and so were the homemade French fries however, the service was so poor and nobody asked how we are doing or if we needed a refill on our beverage that our meal was ruined. I would have liked to try the dessert but I just wanted to get out of there and even though it was so loud if we had a good experience we could have ignored it! We won't be back!

Some of the food was tasty(fried green tomatoes)some of it was bland.(lemon chicken). I'm not sure why they don't serve bread at the table, or have a side salad available. The service was a little slow, and our waiter was not too knowledgeable. I gave the waiter a cash tip, only to see a 20% automatic gratuity when looking over my receipt. There was 6 of us, but 1 person was on a separate check, so not a good policy to have. Overall, I feel for the price, it should have been better all around. I doubt I will go back. Irrelevant to the food and service, the wall paint was very sloppy where someone painted all over the cove base.

Our first visit. Black tablecloth's and white napkins, but lighting way too bright. We were early, so there were only a few people at the bar. As the restaurant began to fill, the noise level increased markedly, which made it impossible to have a conversation. Our server was friendly, but disclosed it was only his 2nd day, so he had to go ask many questions to answer the questions we had. My husband inquired which would be a better choice , meatloaf or fish and our servers response was definitely the meatloaf because they didn't have the fish. My husband was disappointed in the meatloaf! I had a flatbread which was quite good. Our friend chose the pork Wellington, which she enjoyed.

We attended a wine dinner. Service was excellent. Wines were good. First course smoked salmon crostini was delicious. However, next course: salad was pretty much a disaster. It was described as a Nicoise Salad but consisted of 1 baby endive leaf, some greens and half a hard boiled egg ( someone said it was deviled, NOT) I could taste no dressing. The palate cleanser was minuscule, served in a small class and a soup spoon to eat with. It was difficult to get to the food and it wasn't very good. The steak was fine , and the cream puff dessert was not a puff but the small piece of pastry squashed with whipped cream and some fruit. However, it was very good. We met the owner who seemed to be very invested in the restaurant. It was great that he introduced himself to us. Our first time here.

Food was very good. We all enjoyed our selections. Wait staff was very kind and accommodating. If we lived closer we would probably eat there regularly
