The food was good, but it was very loud on a Friday night! We had been there before and not experienced this. Glad they are doing a great business, but the ambience wasn’t what we had known or expected.

Today I visited for the first time ever and I must say the restaurant is beautiful inside. I came here believing they had Shrimp and grits but apparently its seasonal. This should be updated on their website. The service was phenomenal and I appreciate the attention to detail. Now as far as the food is concerned I will say I was a bit disappointed on the flavor side. We ordered the fried green tomatoes (most flavorful) and were cooked perfectly but lightly seasoned, excellent crust, the drunken sailor (which was only 3 scallops in its sauce with microgreens but no hard sear, looks nothing like the photo as advertised) and the shrimp and scallop pasta, (3 large shrimp and 3 scallops, in a "lemon sauce"). I was expecting a burst of lemon flavor with each bite and it was just not there. I asked for extra lemon and just felt disappointed for the quality of food over pricing. We always try different places and order a few things but I don't think we will be returning. I wish them all the best always.

We went for lunch and ordered the crab cakes which were very good. For our second course we ordered the Dunkin Sailor not a fan. The 3 scallops were under cooked n the sauce had no taste. This is an expensive appetizer and very disappointing. We ordered the bread pudding for dessert..tall, dry bread with lovely blueberries on top not a fan. Our server was lovely but for the top dollar prices we were disappointed overall.

After 30 minutes of placing our order, the server informed us that the item was not available. Additionally, we noticed that half of the menu was unavailable for service. Never coming back here

I am not sure what has happened to this restaurant. We went in during lunch on Valentine's Day. The award winning fried green tomatoes that we loved were bland and flavorless. The "shaved" wagyu sandwich was dry, flavorless and the meat looked like fajita strips, not shaved like a Philly would be. The Brussel sprouts had no flavor like before. We let the server know how the food was and he offered to get the manager, but the manager did not come. I felt bad for the server that had to come back to deliver the news. Root & Branch used to be one of the best in Clermont, but not anymore. Seems like management/ownership/chefs changed, and it is not the same restaurant we used to love. Save your tastebuds and money. No longer worth it.

The potatoes were instant potatoes. The order was wrong. The desert was even not prepared correctly. Every level of service from the entrance to the exit was less than desirable.

A great locale that will soon become your "always faithful" place. Great food conceptions, excellent service, great wine and spirit pairings, and a plethora of sweets. The FOH manager is knowledgeable and controls a beautiful sympathy.

Great atmosphere and food was delicious. My 4 star rating is due to lack of information on menu regarding creme brulee. Menu only states creme brulee it does not state it's a peach bourbon. From an allergy standpoint and the fact that some people, even in food, don't want to consume alcohol this should be informed to the consumer. On a personal level I did not like the flavor of this creme brulee and wished it was just creme brulee as the menu stated.

This place has gone down the tubes. I know a lot of the reviews after the new owners came in are incentivized but we decided to try it again anyway. It’s not worth a fraction of the price the want w the horrible quality and service.

Completely overpriced for the low quality food! Took an hour and a half to get our food and I got sick immediately after eating it! do NOT go here

I hate making any fuss about restaurants, but this was a pretty bad and awkward experience. We came as a large party and I’m very understanding of wait times and how hard it is to keep track of that many people. Our server was very sweet and accommodating and none of this was any fault of hers. We ordered appetizers which tasted great, however once we ordered our entrees, we waited quite a long time when the restaurant only had two other tables inside. We had been there for an hour and half before anything came out and they very slowly came out one by one. I ordered a medium rare steak, which came out last after nearly everyone was finished eating. I cut open the steak and almost completely well done. No worries, I eat off others plates until the server comes as at this point I don’t really want to wait for another entree anyway. The server apologizes and offers to have the chef make something else to accommodate, which I accept. However, she comes back and says that the chef will NOT be doing that, and offers a dessert instead. I’m very non confrontational and just felt a little weird after that and just said no thanks, because I didn’t want a dessert. I understand this isn’t on the server, but I didn’t even get to eat my own entree and my meal was not what I ordered, and you just offer me a dessert instead of what you proposed at first. I just found it to be a bit of a slap in the face, given I waited that long just to not be able to eat my own entree. I thought maybe the steaks were accidentally switched with someone else at the table, but no one ordered a well done steak, and the food runner confirmed with me that I ordered a medium rare steak before she brought it to me. Oh well, mistakes absolutely do happen it’s just more so how it was handled and I didn’t get any explanation..

This place was used to be wonderful. We had so many memorable and delightful dinners there. Unfortunately, with the change of ownership and chef, the food is not anymore special. We were there for Christmas Eve dinner. They said over the phone when making reservations few days prior the dinner date that they will offer normal menu plus a Christmas special. When we arrived the menu was set and no option to order from the standard menu. The atmosphere was used to be elegant and nice with dimmed light. This time the dining room was fully lighted and the decor somewhat changed. We asked for a specific table and the request was not granted. We ordered the fried tomatoes as those were our favorite from past meals. To our surprise the recipe has changed. Flavor was bland and tomatoes were cold. My husband ordered the special lobster and shrimp pasta. It was just ok not a gourmet meal. The bucatini was overcooked and dry. I ordered the pistachio crusted chicken. It was fine but not succulent for the price. Besides, they only had two sides. Same sides were for both the steak and the chicken. Like a mass produced dinner. Not gourmet as it was used to be. The service was rushed not typical of an upscale restaurant experience. It is sad that this restaurant has gone down in quality. Probably we will not go back.
