I had dinner at this amazing little restaurant on Thursday night. It has the best atmosphere, really good fresh food, and my server had the best personality!! We sat outside with this wonderful view of the lake and watched the sunset!! I literally could have stayed there all night:) Kiarra, our server recommended this delicious dish with grilled jumbo shrimp on top of a bed of a rice medley and I loved it!! I will most definitely be going back to this adorable place again soon!!

Second time we visited and it has to be at top of our list. Best fried calamari we ever had. The Tuna Tartare is amazing. We sat at a high top overlooking the lake and the view was fantastic. Our server, Marisa, was one of the best servers ever. Highly, highly recommend this restaurant.

So my daughter came here to celebrate her 18th birthday with a few of her friends and the waitress and the time it took for them to get there food was horrible. They arrived at 7:30 and didn't get their food until 8:35-8:40. Which they then had to rush to eat because she reservations somewhere else at 9:30. When I was inquiring about who their server was, I noticed a server talking to another coworker like she had an attitude talking about a table not realizing that she was talking about my daughter and her friends. Two managers did come over to talk to me and told me that they were working on getting their food out which took about another 15. However, they were very nice and ended up discounting the bill.

But the original server was very rude and her attitude was nasty. She really made my daughter's birthday dinner horrible to the point where she said she should have went somewhere to eat. We flew out of town just to celebrate with her and this wasn't part of the plan. We got a new server by the name of Tessa who was absolutely AMAZING. Just in the short amount of time that we had her, she made the ending a little better. As a previous server, I feel like when you are servering customers you should serve people the way you would want someone to serve you. It shouldn't matter how old or young they are everyone deserves respect and you should constantly check on your tables to make sure everything is okay or just to let them know that their food will be out shortly. If you can't do that then maybe you shouldn't serve. I even left Tessa a tip for cleaning up a mess that she had nothing to do with. You're the best Tessa!!

Had great time here. The host kinda forgot about us but the food and our waitress made up for it. We had the jerk wings and a couple of burgers all was very good. Will be back from kissimmee to eat here again.

Cool Island vibes. Great options on the menu. Sunday afternoon so we had to wait about 30 minutes for a table but ee expected that. This is a popular place! Service was on point. We sat outside on the lanai with our pup. They immediately brought him some water as well. Had a fish basket and a coconut shrimp basket. Both were hot crispy, and perfectly done. We tried two sauces; a guava cocktail and a citrus mustard blend. Both were excellent. Oh, and you have to try their house hot sauce instead of ketchup on your fries. Da Bomb! Cheers 😁

Have to update my review from 5 stars down to 3 stars.

Atmosphere and cocktails are still great, but the food quality took a nose dive. The salad tasted like it had been sitting in a fridge for a couple days. The dice tomatoes were downright soggy and gross. The quality of the fried shrimp dropped a couple notches too. I could swear the shrimp were larger in the past or there were more of them and of higher quality. My husband had fried oysters and the fish basket and he said he was also disappointed. The service also dropped a notch. Two-thirds of our order arrived wrong. Probably due to a new food runner as the server noticed there was an issue. Not sure if there's a new chef and/or manager, but it was disappointing with multiple aspects. Hopefully, they can get back to where things were in previous months, but it'll likely be a while before we go back.

Original post: New favorite place for casual, fresh air lunch. The cocktails are great. My husband ordered fried oysters, which I don’t usually like, but they're very good here. The made from scratch citrus dressing on their wonderful side salad is great. The snapper was perfectly cooked and the sauce is so tasty. The grouper tacos are outstanding. Highly recommend.

We had a great first time experience at Salt Shack. Great customer service and amazing food, the restaurant overlooks the lake and they had live music Sunday afternoon. We had Gaspar's tuna tartare, Fish tacos with yuca fries and the fish of the day Lane snapper.
