Last year I ordered an oxtail dinner, it wasn't good at all. Back when it was big eater.
Now I gave it a try to get a mac n cheese only. And guess what! It was missing salt, it wasn't creamy some noodles were hard. wth I would recommend NOT this place.

Came in and was really not greeted. Asked for one as I was on a business trip. Was sat down and offered something to drink. When I was telling my order to the waitress she wrote nothing down, thought of it as experience. She went to put down my order and a second later asked me what I ordered. I got my food and not once was I asked how I was doing. Don’t get me wrong the fried chicken was good but lukewarm at its best, the mac n cheese was hard and cold, and the biscuit dry as a bone. Rather go to Popeyes for that same meal. It took about 20 mins of waiting to see someone as there was no one in sight anymore just so I can get my check and pay. Bad service overall and MID food.

Don’t judge a book by it’s cover people.
This small place may look like a whatever place but let me tell you the food is amazing!!

It was so good that I didn’t even have a chance to take a picture of my meal.

I’m a picky eater and am not the chicken and gravy type of girl. But something told me to give it a try and let me tell you I wish I had more of that gravy. It was delicious left me scraping my plate.

We stopped by for lunch while setting up for Clewiston Sugar festival and decided to give it a try and I do not regret my decision best decision of the day😁.

I will definitely be coming back. Saved this location under one of my favorite restaurants for Clewiston . Next visit, I will definitely be trying the oxtail.

We stopped in here for lunch on our way to take the Sugar Express train ride in Clewiston. The new name is Jans Soul Food but GPS still got us here. Wow, soul food that's delicious and made with love.
Small place with a couple of tables. Twyla the owners daughter is the sweet hostess.
You can view the options behind the glass but Jan cooked up fresh okra for my wife. I really enjoyed the meat loaf, cabbage and collard greens with iced tea. The cabbage was so good I asked for seconds. My wife got the southern fried chicken with 1 dark and 1 white piece. You can choose. She also had fried okra, collard greens and corn bread with her meal. So much that she even had enough leftover for dinner. We really enjoyed talking to Jan and the food was so delicious. And… I asked Jan what did she do with any food leftover from the day. She donates to any one in need. That’s true kindness! Will definitely be back when we visit again.

Customer service was great, we went there when they were converting from breakfast to lunch and they still accommodated our lunch order with a smile and welcoming feel, hands down best customer service I have received in Florida and even America on the whole coming from The Bahamas, food was amazing from the chicken tenders and garlic Parmesan sauce straight to the Mac and cheese and fries

Was driving by on a day road trip with my mum and decided to stop here from breakfast. From the start the service provided was great with a lovely greeting. Although I don't eat meat they were able to put together a variety of dishes that I could eat. The dish my mom got had pork and they were able to substitute it for fish instead. Got some story of the history of the establishment. Certainly enjoyed my time here. Even gave me recommendations of where to go to see the lake. Great mum and daughter/son place. Will certainly stop by the next time passing by.
