Sunrise Diner 365 W. Cocoa Beach Cswy. Cocoa Beach, FL 32931 2.5 Stars The name staring back at me from my random name generator caused a rueful smile to creep across my lips. This occurred because in a prior life from 1999-2001 I literally ate breakfast here every morning. This is a testament to how long this place has been in operation. However, as good as they once were, just viewing their name has become a dissight for they have gone severely downhill since the glory days of my youth. Sunrise Diner in Cocoa Beach has joined the list of once-great restaurants that have given up. Literally. Allie is my server and is one of the most honest pro's out there. You know you can trust your server when they tell you what to avoid. In this case, Allie told me not to order the biscuit. With that in mind, I did ask for some Moussaka and some Corned Beef Hash, eggs and potatoes. Looking around and taking a few pictures, I was saddened by how empty the joint had become. What was once a thriving, humming local hot spot had become a barren, dried-up desert void of all but a few stalwarts or the uninitiated. Allie soon returned with my grub and after grabbing some shots of that, prepared to get to work. First up was the Moussaka. I ask that you take a gander at the picture of said dish. It looked horrid. It tasted horrid. It was horrid. I don't know how you screw up a dish as simple and standard as this, but screw it up someone did. The sauce was just nasty. Maybe too much sugar or not enough herbs. I'm not sure, but I am sure it didn't sit well on my palate. Moving on to the Corned Beef Hash, eggs and potatoes. While this wasn't nearly as bad as the Moussaka, or what passed as such here, it wasn't anything to text Mom about. The eggs were cooked to order and tasty. The Beef Hash, while obviously out of a food service industrial-sized can, was executed properly and the potatoes were freshly sliced. If I had only ordered the Moussaka, this would have been a 1-star or maybe even a Swill Alert. This was the saving grace and it was slightly below average. That should tell you all you need to know about how far down this place has sunk. The Big Boy says, “There is much better Moussaka and eggs within 3 miles of this place. Go there. This place is yuck.”

Terrible food. I ordered the seafood combo. The “grilled” fish tasted like it was seared in a pan with a pound of butter. It was oily and greasy. The shrimp was over cooked. The crab cake had pieces of crab shell in it. But mostly, the fish was absolutely disgusting. Captain D’s is a better choice. I will never return. Do not waste your money dining here.

Everything about this place is MEH. Service was the worst though. The food runner brings out a steak and says, sirloin, ribeye, or whatever this steak is. Mahi special was over cooked, drinks were watered down. Just not great, sucks because the view is really nice

Horrible service and terrible food and you get charged an extra 4% if you want to use your credit card to pay.

What a relaxing evening. The hostess let us know when the space launch would happen and we found a great spot right outside to watch it. Then back into the cool indoors to cold drinks and fabulous oysters, loaded skins, and crab cakes. Our server made sure we had everything we needed. We just had a super time. Thank you. Can’t wait to come back to this waterfront cafe with a great water view, excellent food, and the laid back feeling we love about Florida.

I had the prime rib, shared it with my sister, and it was delicious! So tender and moist, absolutely wonderful! The bread pudding was a perfect ending! My other sister had the hamburger and she loved it! Thank you for another great meal!

Love this place. One of the better locals spots. Took the boat ride too. Crab sandwich is perfect. Service is great.

We ate here after a sunset cruise that was docked at the restaurant. The patio dining gives you a great view of the water. Our table ordered a blacked group sandwich, fried grouper sandwich, crab cake sandwich, and Hurricane shrimp dinner. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The staff were friendly and attentive even though it was a busy St. Patrick’s Day crowd. I would definitely return.

Visiting friends wanted to have dinner here since they have great sunset views. The food was good, but the quality didn't reflect the price paid. Biggest disappoint was the drinks. We had a round of specialty frozen cocktails, that tasted terrible. My guess is they use tap water (if you know FL tap water you'll understand) to make their ice. All in all, a great view, but we won't be back.

The best reason and probably the only reason to go here is for the sunset. Probably one of the best locations in Cocoa beach for that. The accolades stop there. Food is only mediocre but a bit pricey-you’re paying for the waterfront and sunsets. Had blackened seafood trio which was ok, nothing to write home about. Wife had a burger which we had to send back because it was overdone. Second one was pretty much the same, apparently Florida chefs don’t know what “medium” means. They had live music but honestly couldn’t wait to get out of there because the guy sang so bad. I had basically the same meal a couple nights prior right next door at Florida’s Seafood Bar and Grill which was fantastic and less money. You see one sunset, you’ve seen them all, go next door. If for some reason you want a less than desirable meal, do call ahead, that got us in pretty much with no wait, past others that were waiting.

As far as the review of Two Ramblers, their review was on a Wednesday, their busiest night of the week. All the bartenders and staff are friendly and most accommodating to customers; they know the regulars by name and treat visitors with kindness and respect. So, if you’re at this wonderful place on a Wednesday (or any other night) please show patience and respect for the staff.

Called to make certain outdoor dining was pet friendly. Arrived by boat with our English Springer Spaniel and our friends with their Basset Hound. Was first refused service then offered a horrible dirty area overlooking the dumpster. Rude staff bad place.

Wanted to give thus place a try after many trips to Cocoa Beach. Glad we did! We arrived just after lunch on a weds and had our choice of seating. Grilled grouper sandwich was very good and my wife said her shrimp salad was excellent. Service and drinks excellent. I can see how parking would be a challenge during peak times. Hey, take an Uber. Wait staff Laszlo rocked with his pleasant smile, warm demeanor and fast service. Highly recommend during off hours. Enjoy like we did!

Went here for dinner. Waited 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us. 20 minutes to order and receive our drinks. Everybody works in slow motion! Received our food...ordered blackened Grouper sandwich. It wasnt blackened properly it just seemed like it they sprinkled cajun dressing on it. The grouper was farmed and tasteless! The sweet potato fries were good. Then they added a percentage on for using a credit card. Our bill was $93 and it was a waste of money. The venue is the only positive thing!

Music was so bad and loud. Singing out of key we could not wait to leave. When we received our check we noticed a fee to pay with a card. 3.8%. It would be nice to know ahead of time. Will not go back
