Seafood jambalaya pasta was the best long with the boudin egg rolls. My wife loves the fried catfish. The owner and staff were extremely nice. We will be coming back again.

Used to spend a lot of time in french quarter, also in Layfatte. Nothing better the perfect Cajun food, this place wouldnt last a day back there.

Gumbo flavor was spot on, but super watery. Anything fried (Pork chops, fries) is soggy, turn the frier tempature up, not a hard fix. Collard greens and beans and rice were good, nothing special, just good.

Creme brele was served piping hot, very runny, not creamy.

The drinks though we're mixed perfect.

The restaurant was clearly a Mexican restaurant last, half the artwork still up, and fixtures, makes it look funny.

I would recommend, but not go out of my way for a trip here.

This establishment is amazing! I’ve been to New Orleans and had all kinds of cuisines that were spectacular. Cajun Soul reminded me of being there back in New Orleans. The owners at this restaurant were hands on and great speaking with them. The waitress we had was great. The drinks we had were the Royal Southern Peach and the Southern Tropical Henny which were delicious. The appetizer was the Cajun Poutine was actually a meal in itself, so yummy. The entrees were Catfish meal with two sides, Cajun Mac N Cheese and Red Beans & Rice and the Shrimp & Grits. The food is definitely delicious Cajun filled with a lot of Soul. Give this wonderful restaurant a try.

The food was incredible, and the portions were big. Beer was real good too. If you like seafood, the seafood gumbo was absolutely fantastic.

We came from orlando to cocoa to try cajun soul out. Loved the big booths..good for nice size parties. You felt like you were at one of the local favorite spots by the interactions with the owner and regulars. It is a nice warm vibe all around. Service was good.. every one made sure we had what we needed. We usually get southern poutine at LA inspired restaurants as an appetizer, but the cajun poutine was a great option. I tried the jambalaya for my entrée. It was soo good and a larger portion. I usually don't taken food home, but I did this day. Overall great experience..and will have to bring more friends and fam to get a taste of this place

Group of 7, ages 7-75. Chicken tenders (huge portion), Kale salad (everything was super fresh and went together perfectly), Crawfish Etoufee (heavy on the crawfish), Shrimp & Grits (which I'm currently enjoying for lunch at work 2 days later), Jerky Mac (great flavor and not crazy spicy), Crawfish Poutine (mom said they were as good as any she's had in Quebec), fried shrimp (the batter is glorious), boudin eggrolls (awesome but different). Great food, great service, awesome staff, great everything. Food was phenomenal and portions were huge, chicken tenders are enough for like 3 meals. Everything is made from scratch and you can tell. Boudin eggrolls were great but I wish you could just get straight boudin to gorge on. Little cold in the dining room, bring a jacket. Great draft beer selection, no kids menu but the chicken tenders again, are awesome and our 7 year-old loved them. Highly recommend.

I came here a week after they opened and now again yesterday. The first visit I got Shrimp & Grits, a cocktail, and a side of redbeans and rice. The cocktail list is fine and the drink was alright, nothing to write home about. The redbeans and rice were delicious and packed a flavorful punch with good heat. The shrimp and grits were fine but oddly bland? I was confused as cajun food is often borderline OVER seasoned, but my meal was just.. meh. I waited about a year to return thinking that they were just working out the kinks. Not so much.

A year later I tried the fried chicken sandwich, boudin eggrolls, and a side of red beans and rice. The chicken was cooked nicely but the batter was (you guessed it) bland. Also for a $15 chicken sandwich I was not expecting a tiny bagged bread aisle bun. The bun was very small and flattened as soon as I held the sandwich. There are fast food chicken sandwiches that are a better value for your money with comparable quality. The red beans and rice unfortunately lost their punch from my first visit and now tasted (drumroll please) bland! They still had a nice level of heat but all the flavor was gone?! The rice was also a bit overcooked and falling apart in the beans. The boudin eggrolls were the standout. Lots of flavor, crispy rice paper, and cooked well.

My companion had the gumbo and ended up having the same complaint. Bland. GUMBO? BLAND? I tried a bite and it most certainly was lacking flavor. Also it was soupy? I have never seen a gumbo that resembled chicken soup, but here we are. The rice provided with the gumbo was also overcooked.

I don't know. I love cajun food, and the reviews of this place are wonderful but my two experiences were a major let down. The menu, cocktail list, and Latin decor (from the previous restaurant) have not changed in a year. Maybe this place is good for ya'll, but I don't think it's for me. Best of luck~

3 Stars as none of the food was BAD, just overpriced and lacking in flavor

We actually like this restaurant and the wings are amazing but this time around my boyfriend didn’t get one of his orders of wings for over an hour. And then it took another 20min after we had all finished our meals. To top it off they only discounted them by $5 and the food runners gave us attitudes even though they were the ones messing up what they were bringing to the table. And our servers response to everything was “I’m sorry there’s nothing I could do about it” yet she had time to go up on stage and sing.
