Candy's Cookies, Cakes & More

I purchased a dozen double chocolate chip cookies at the Backwoods Food truck event tonight. I was a little shocked at the price of one dozen for $20, but figured they must be good so I would give them a try. We took our dinner and the cookies to go as it was too hot to eat outside and enjoy it. We finished dinner and within 30 minutes of making the cookie purchase I tried one of the cookies.

I was disappointed.

For $1.67 per cookie I expected something more. The cookies were small (I would estimate about a small tablespoon of dough) and so dry that it crumbled when I bit into it. There was nothing chewy or at all exceptional about this first cookie. Later on the same evening I tried cookie #2 and 3. These cookies were a tiny bit larger, but the same dried out and not exceptional cookie. Definitely over baked- which is easy to do with dark cookies.

I would like to give other cookies a try- but for $20 a dozen, I may just have to pass.

It's been a long time since I had a really good chocolate chip cookie. Candy's chocolate chip cookie is out of this world.

Delicious treats. Reminds me of the cookies I made with my grandma at Christmas 🥹💕 I tried a variety of products and everything has been great so far!

I ordered “carrot cake” cupcakes from Candy’s Cookies, Cakes & More (Canaveral Groves)this week for my husband’s birthday, and we picked them up today. They were made fresh this morning, and oh my goodness, if you’re having any doubts about placing an order, please, make the order. Her carrot cake was the best I’ve ever tasted. Every bit of it was made from scratch - the cake was moist and delicious and the frosting was fantastic. I’ve already placed another order for a German Chocolate cake and a Lemon Blueberry pound cake, and I’m anxious to taste them. With regard to Candy, the awesome baker - she’s kind, genuine, and has “customer service” running through her veins. I’ve never had a baker offer to meet me at a convenient place for product pickup, much less offer to deliver. She did both, and we agreed on a place to meet. I felt like I met a friend today. I wish her and her business all the best success. Her prices were very fair too!
