I wish I could leave a proper review, but after calling multiple times on a Sunday to try and make a reservation and confirm the restaurant was open, I could not get in touch with anyone. I even messaged them on Facebook with no reponse. Their voicemail is not set up so I was not able to leave a voicemail. I took some of the recent reviews as a sign that it's better I didn't get to go... but I would have liked to try it for myself. Hopefully, they will set up their voicemail, and I'll have a chance to go try the food sometime soon.

We went to Murdocks to see local band play that night. Food was good as usual.
The young guy that helped us last night was really nice but clueless. He kept saying 5 minutes for everything. 5 minutes to get seated, 5 minutes until he took our order, etc ;)
Yes we had some adult beverages but we also wanted water. I asked for water at least six times and finally got close to an hour later.
All and all it was good. Someone could teach the young gentleman about customer service. He was nice just very all over the place.

This was not a good experience at all, we came here on Sunday for dinner because another restaurant in Cocoa Village was closed. We had come here before and had a good time but things had clearly changed. There was a smoky haze throughout the entire restaurant, and there were quite a few people at the bar and were told by the bartender to sit wherever we wanted so we grabbed our own menus and silverware and proceeded to sit on the side area behind the bar where it was quieter. Our server (the bartender) asked what we wanted for drinks and gave us the choices on tap, those choices did not suit me so I checked looking behind the bar myself until the manager asked if he could help. He gave me a few more options that our server didn't give us and was able to get something. I ordered a medium rare burger with the street corn casserole as a side. My burger arrived well done and burnt, also I was surprised that the street corn casserole was supposed to be served stone cold straight from the fridge. When we were ready to leave we asked for a to-go box and our server and the manager spent about 10 - 15 minutes looking for to-go box until we were informed that they had no to-go boxes and our meals were wrapped in aluminium kitchen pans and foil. It was very disappointing to pay at least $60 for an appetiser and entrée to get a burnt burger, a cold side, and no to-go box. It is not worth it to come here, and we will definitely not return. Murdocks I've had a good time here before but this experience was so far from that; I hope you can improve.

Cute venue, menu looked like the food would be amazing. 4 top ordered 4 meals. All took ages to come out, despite being only one of maybe 2-3 tables in the restaurant. One meal 15+ additional minutes as it was entered incorrectly.

Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was incredibly dry, like it was done first and sat under the heat lamp waiting on the rest.

Breakfast burger requested a swap from maple aioli to chipotle aioli and medium cook. Came out with maple, despite the waitress insisting it was chipotle. Cooked beyond well done. Edible in the sense that after waiting 45+ minutes wasn’t going to wait again.

Strawberry pecan salad was requested without bacon, served with bacon and no pecans, which apparently they were out of but didn’t feel the need to inform.

Classic burger (the longest wait) served with tortilla chips, and did not inform they were out of salsa until it was at the table. Served with a tomato was white and hard as a rock. Requested a replacement tomato and was apparently brought the best of the bunch, and it bent the prongs of the fork we tried to cut it with.

Restaurant fills with smoke and flies, which the waitress did apologize for. Overall an unpleasant lunch for a high cost.

It's a cool place. That's about it. After the server spent 5 minutes trying to kill some flys that were hanging out and took our drink order, which they got wrong. I requested unsweetened tea 3 times. Brought sweet tea..cool because I am diabetic. Tried to order appetizers. They were no longer selling the item.. no biggie. Tried to order their lobster mac and cheeze? Nope, out of lobster...substitute shimp? Sure..ok, fine. Ribs were the special..2 sides and cornbread..ok sounds good. Boy, was i wrong. These were the worst ribs ever. Just some reheated ribs that were tough and slathered in bottled bbq sauce... seriously. like Sweet Baby Rays. bottled bbq sauce. The baked beans are straight up out of a can, not even like doctored up.straight out of a can...the waffle fries were edible but i didnt order those so...thank God actually because it was the only edible thing that came out. They also forgot the cornbread. The server might have known if he had actually checked on our table. The last time he came over, I politely asked for the check, paid, and left. I reluctantly tipped.

So if you're looking for a place with a cool atmosphere but horrible overpriced food and whatever kind of service we got this evening...Murdocks?

So disappointing - $90 and 2 out of the 4 meals we ordered were missing key components listed on the menu, and upon inquiry, they were out. (Understandable ofc, but people should be given the opportunity to change their order to something that is available) Less than a dozen people in the restaurant, and the cook still managed to mess up every burger order and fill the entire building with smoke. Buffalo Mac and salad sat out for so long waiting on the burgers the cheese sauce went completely dry, the salad wilted, and the salad dressing actually separated into an oily mess in the bowl. Cute building, cute decor, but you'll spend the entire meal swatting flies.

First time there. We came to hear live music. Ashley and Brianna were great. Very attentive to our questions about the place, the town and the band. Ashley checked on us often and Brianna introduced us to a white tea shot that was her specialty. We just loved the whole night because of them and the band Mixtape Kids is a must see great energy! We will definitely be back!!

Went around 9pm on a whim. They do not have a drink menu but the bartender is knowledgable and made me a drink according to my preferences. I also ordered their sliders. $15 is a bit steep in my opinion for three sliders as an appetizer but I enjoyed them.

I will return but probably not in the near future.

The food is FANTASTIC! A very diverse, eclectic and fun menu! They are a smokehouse so all BBQ dishes are cooked on site! Full bar and superior service! I would recommend to anyone! The brisket poutine is a work of art!!

My grandson picked Murdock’s for his birthday dinner because he loves their fries. Since he is pretty limited in things he really likes, we try to indulge him when he expresses a preference for something.
No one seemed to know who was serving our table - a server stopped by 3 times checking on us before deciding he’d take our orders.
My daughter wanted a frozen Margarita.
They don’t do frozen drinks.
She agreed to a regular margarita, but it was sooo sweet it was undrinkable.
The unsweetened iced tea tasted like it was made with dirty water.
They ran out of lemons.
Took asking 3 times for sweetener.
He finally took our order.
Kids chicken tenders and fries.
They were out of fries.
Then the band started.
They were ok but their volume was entirely too loud for the size of the place. Maybe 4 or 5 times the size could be handled the volume. So loud it was uncomfortable.
After being told - twice - that our food would be “10 more minutes”, we asked for it to be packed to go.
As I was eating my chicken and strawberry salad, my daughter yelled that there was a bug in my food. We’re working to identify what it is, but it was a small black crawling bug with no wings.
