What a find! I almost didnāt stop and what a mistake that would have been! My son ordered the ribs and they were some of the best ribs Iāve ever had. I had pork and turkey and my wife had the chicken tacos. The sides were good. The bbq sauces were great, I highly recommend the mustard sauce. The staff was great! We will definitely be going back, worth the drive from Orlando. The only thing I would change is not leaving the jar of mustard sauce I bought on top of my vehicle and driving off, letās say it didnāt make it back home.

Today we visited My Island Smokehouse during the last hour of business hours for the very first time. Theresa welcomed us in through the exit so we wouldnāt even need to walk around to the front. It was empty on a Saturday night and SO heartbreaking! The whole town from 100 miles away should be coming in droves! We can confidently say that it was the best meal we have ever had, along with the best service. Saying goodbye to our paychecks now - we found our spot! Donāt leave without the Brunswick Stew! Bonus - breakfast on weekends, which is some of the best breakfast weāve ever had at their sister restaurants too! Thank you for an amazing family dinner.

My husband and I went on Thursday and both the meat and sides were absolutely delicious! My husband is very picky on his BBQ and for him to be happy well it says it all!!! We will definitely be back!!!

I gave the BBQ a 5 star review, but couldn't do a separate one for the new breakfast, so I've edited my review to focus on breakfast. First, the are several good options for breakfast in the area, my favorite is Country Cookin Diner, hands down. All of the other options have 100% table service. At My Island, you're given a menu and told to sit where you'd like to look over the menu. They bring you beverages, but you have to go to the counter to order, pay and leave a tip on your card. I hate that system, because I have no idea how the service will be. I don't always have the proper denominations of cash to leave a cash tip afterwards. I came back to the table and we had nothing to stir our coffee, and I like to add a little ice so I can drink it right away. When someone came around I asked for spoons for our coffee and was told he could only give us stir sticks. I had to get the ice out of my water with my fingers. I was informed that the silverware comes with the food, but noticed that even then, you only get a spoon if gravy was part of your order. The food was good, but not spectacular. I vastly prefer the other local places and am not ready in the morning to do anything but be served.

I finally had the opportunity to come in and try out the food here and I was pleasantly surprised. The French fries are probably the best Iāve had in a long time, the sauces are fantastic and the brisket and ribs are on point. I think Iāve found my new go to for barbeque. 10/10 would highly recommend.
