Big Boy Dining Out

Paisley Vegan Kitchen 2447 N. Wickham Rd., Melbourne, FL 329355 StarsI know what you're thinking. A Vegan joint and The Big Boy gives it a 5-star rating? How much or what did they slide me under the table? I assure you, not a damn thing. Vegan means nothing derived from animals. I can't be sure as everything tasted so good, but I am pretty sure they had some dairy in there, but I could be wrong. If they did, this place is perfect for Brevard County as we are hardly the mirror of the twigs and berry crowd found up and down the West Coast of these here United States of America. If it is strictly vegan, then I'll be the first to admit I was hornswoggled, but good!My server, and 1/2 owner, today was Michael, and he slings the hash so fast that it will make your head swim. He erupted into a storm of perfunctory service skills the like I have rarely seen. I asked for some of their Vegan Mac & Cheese because the menu totes “delicious, plant-based comfort food” and nothing says comfort to this Southern Man like good ole Mac & Cheese. I also put in an order for some Deviled Potatoes. It wasn't long before Michael returned with my items, and I have to say, everything smelled and looked like real, honest-to-goodness food, not a salad or a mound of pasta-shaped tofu. I began with the Mac & Cheese, and this was outstanding. Whatever they used in lieu of cheese fooled me. The topping of fresh herbs and crispy bread crumbs brought homemade immediately to mind. The flavors assaulted my taste buds like a honey bee pollinating a field of wildflowers.Moving on to the Deviled Potatoes as I did have a job to do other than stuffing my pie whole with scrumptious food. As you can see in the pictures, this consisted of bite-sized red potatoes filled with their “deviled egg” concoction and then topped with paprika and fresh green onions. Again, I don't know what they used for the eggs, but it sure was delicious and had a perfect consistency. This is an outstanding idea for a dish and it was executed flawlessly, resulting in a cascade of flavors hitting my palate. This was a real treat. The Big Boy says, “If you want tasty eats, get over the vegan preconceptions and get your ever-lovin' behind to Paisley Vegan Kitchen!”

So grateful to find this place along our road trip! All vegan, and absolutely delicious! My partner is a Mac & cheese snob and rarely likes the vegan cheese sauces at other restaurants, but he LOVED it and said it was exactly what he wanted. ?? The pizza fries were amazing too!

I don't do reviews, but this place is worth the effort to post. Amazing - been veggie for almost 30 years, never been able to find a satisfying meal like here - and I can eat everything on the menu! Like 40 choices!!!

The food was excellent! I had the chicken parm sub and my partner had the crispy chicken sandwich and we both cleaned our plates. Our server was very kind and attentive. We finished our meals off with a delicious PB vanilla cupcake. The decor and music added a cool vibe and I would absolutely love to eat here again.
