Tequila Veintiuno Mexican Cuisine

My wife and I were a bit shocked to see extra charges on the bill for another small basket of chips and another small salsa that we asked for ($4.50 total). We were not warned there would be an extra charge, and it's not mentioned on the menu. It wouldn't be so bad if they were actually of a decent size like we normally get at other places. And, the salsa is fine but fairly basic (again, have had far better at other locations for no extra charge after requesting more).
My wife's chicken burrito didn't have all the ingredients the menu says it has (or there was so little we couldn't see them). My Mexican Avocado Salad tasted fine but wasn't very big. After having that along with a side of black beans and along with the extra chips and salsa, I would have liked a bit more of something. And the charges for added proteins for the various dishes were the highest we've seen anywhere.

This place!!! If I could -5 I would. We are visiting and decided to order food. We actually ordered from 2 places and quite a bit of food. I spent $50 on this place and quite honestly they should be lucky people spend with them. We ordered quesadillas and fries, chips and salsa, queso, and birria pizza. All the food including the other places food was just fine, but the birria pizza comes with a side of ants.

I called this pathetic company to advise hey I had an issue and this is what it was. The pizza came with ants, immediately that pizza sat in the oven until the driver came, I interrupted and said no ma’am, the pizza was ice cold, but that is not my complaint, it is the ants. She gets even more huffy and says look when we send the food I can do anything about what the driver does. I said all the other food from your place was just fine, your story is not correct. I will be calling health department next with the photos and complaint. I hope they get shut down, they should not be serving people.

I honestly wish I could give zero stars. This is the worst restaurant I’ve been too in so long. Got charged a $1.75 for a tiny cup of sour cream. $3 for a tiny side of jalapeños. And what Mexican restaurant charges for more chips and salsa ? $60 for carne asada and beef nachos. I’ll never go back and I’ll recommend no one else that I know does too. Terrible.

They charge $1.50 for extra salsa. Won’t be coming back. Salsa is free at any other Mexican Resturant.

I love the taste of their food, but they never give me enough queso on Arroz Con pollo! I have complained about it twice now it makes it super dry. They want to charge for extra. I don't want extra, but I want enough for what food I have.

Don't usually leave reviews and We eat here all the time and love the food but today I just ended up canceling my order and went to Mexicos Grill because the young girl taking my take out order was comically bad at her job. I made the attempt 3 different times before finally just giving up.

My husband and I went out Tuesday night for dinner, there was no wait time and we got seated right away in a booth at that. We got chips and salsa which was a nice start and our server Kylynn came right over and greeted us, our food came out pretty fast and it was really good, my husband really enjoyed his meal, mine was pretty good but could of used a little more flavor that's why I'm only giving 4 stars. Our server was very sweet and gave great service and the atmosphere was nice, the restaurant seemed to be very well kept and clean. We will definitely be back to try some other items.

I was referred to this restaurant by coworkers, I finally went this past Tuesday night. The food was good but not what I had ordered and it was cold, the server Kailan obviously was not paying attention to me. Her attitude towards me was bad enough for me and my coworkers to not want to return, be careful ordering with her and double check your order.
