This was our favorite "go to" place. The food was good before, but it got even better under the new owners. It's true that the prices went up a bit, but it seemed to be understandable considering the higher quality of the dishes. I am very sad to see that it is temporarily closed. I hope everything is alright. When can we expect it to re-open?
This USE to be our favorite place for the past 20 years! It's was a special neighborhood place. A generation of families gathering their kids and grandkids for Sunday breakfast or after school quick dinner. The atmosphere was warm , cozy, and welcoming. The beautiful Chicago bricks greeted you when you first stepped in. The rich dark moldings made you feel like you stepped back in time a bit. It was peaceful to be there. The food was a staple of the neighborhood without complaint .Then these guys took over and completely gutted all the ambiance out of it! ?When I first heard you painted those beautiful Chicago bricks white, I couldn't bear to ever step foot in there. Completely heartbreaking. Now the place looks cold ,institutional and generic. It's a complete tragedy. What you guys did to this beautiful place was horrible and inconsiderate . Your attitudes sucked and your food too. You never considered anyone's interest or feeling but your own. We are glad your gone. Unfortunately it wasn't soon enough. The damage is done. Rip Blue moon. Thanks for all the wonderful memories for the past 20 years...minus the last 1.
Establishment has been around for years. Over time the food went from very good to mediocre at best and the interior wasn’t being kept up, becoming shabby - crossed off my list. Well recently read that Blue Moon was under new management & had been renovated, so I decided to stop in for lunch. WHAT A SURPRISE ! It’s a new Blue Moon. Everything shines & the new trimmed down menu has plenty to offer. Service is terrific! Highly recommend Blue Moon!
A big rip off. Learned a costly lesson going to the Blue Moon Diner. We ordered something that was not on the menu. We ordered two tuna wraps. Wraps were nicely presented and delicious. It had cheese and cut up bacon, which we did not ask for but that's fine. Came with fries, that was fine also.Came time for the check and when it was put down we had sticker shock. We were charged$15.50 each. I did say something to the waitress Amanda about it being very costly sandwiches and she said that is how she was told to ring it up. She apologized. It just left us with a very bad taste in our mouths. So the lesson is if you order something that they have but not on the menu, find out what the charge is. IT WILL BE A BLUE MOON BEFORE WE GO BACK.
I have to say The Blue Moon Diner use to be one of my "go to" places to eat. The food was always good and good quality. I have never had a bad meal from them until tonight!! I ordered for delivery, I could not believe the hike in prices and less food for your money... the quality of the food was horrible, What has happened, a new owner?? Well, ya better get back to the way it was, because if you don't ,you have lost a customer.
Food was underwhelming. It barely had any taste, bacon was dry, like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long while, eggs over medium were runny and the home fries were over cooked and dry. Not sure how people like this place.
The Food is delicious and beautifully prepare and healthy balancedComplements to everyone in the kitchenThe service is excellent it’s like being at home but better??❤️????
There's a lot said about the health benefits of eating fresh and the vices of fast food chains. The Blue Moon Diner offers a fresh alternative to the more popular all day breakfast chains with meals served within a similar timeframe. We throughly enjoyed our meal. I closed my eyes at the authentic taste of my grits, the well-spiced French toast, and my perfectly cooked eggs. I believe my server's name was Sheri. She was attentive and cordial. I would definitely recommend this Diner. It's a hidden Cooper City gem!
We went there after a long hiatus and surprised to see a totally new restaurant with new menu and much higher prices. We just wanted our favorite Patty Melt and it was no longer available. We were not looking to have an expensive dinner so we had to leave.
Staffing has been a challenge (universally) but the owner, Sarah, is doing an amazing job of minimizing that impact. She is non-stop, accommodating and friendly. I really enjoy the Greek salad, crunchy chicken wrap and for breakfast I love their grits. They have a full bar now which is pretty cool! They also have a couple of event rooms that are perfect for meetings and parties. I love to support local small businesses like this one. This is a wonderful breakfast/lunch spot and with the new liquor offerings, maybe dinner offerings will be in the future.

I don't know what happened to this restaurant, it used to be so good. We had breakfast here on Saturday and it was terrible. I'm really upset because breakfast is so simple to make. Our server although very sweet just couldn't get it together and had to verify my order 3 times which I guess is better than getting it wrong. But maybe write it down if you're memory isn't the greatest. I so wanted to love it and we were celebrating my sons karate competition win so it was extra disappointing. In response to the restaurant's reply, it was the food. I can overlook service when the server is trying and is courteous, and she was both. I had biscuits with gravy...biscuits were dry and upside down under the gravy so they didn't soak up any of the gravy, the potatoes were undercooked (wish it was hash browns instead ?) but the bacon was perfect. My husband had "The Mess" and the shredded cheese was just thrown on top not melted and he didn't care for it (he literally eats everything and rarely complains). I appreciate your response and think it's a great quality when restaurants respond but the food just wasn't good.
My friend and I are actually at the Blue Moon diner right now having eaten our lunch. The food was good, but my friend said hers wasn't hot enough, and my patty melt was quite greasy but tasty. The waitress was new and tried very hard to be accommodating.
My chicken Parmigiano dinner had a taste of bleach or a cleaning solution. It was so faint that I did not complain. We had tuna salad and it did not taste good. They had plenty of staff that were attentive, the place looks nice. I have been there a few months ago and the food was better. I'd give them another chance if I'm in the area.
Had lunch today ordered fried fish and pasta with Caesar salad. After all the years going and having parties never again. The salad was just cut up lettuce with crotons and Caesar dressing. Fish was mushy and falling apart. Pasta was not just a little warm. Came with no cheese to top… knife was a baby knife had to ask for napkins and a pasta spoon. Cost me almost $18.00 with tip for a lunch. So so sorry never never again. Will not stay open with taste of meal, overpriced and horrible service. I will miss my old favorite restaurant.
I have never been disappointed at Blue Moon Diner. Their breakfast, lunch and dinners are delicious. The service is decent and the prices are reasonable.
