Just Horrible! we used to order from bawarchi from a long time almost every Sunday , but recently the menu is changed for the worse! Biriyani is horrible the rice is so dry and the gravy feels like a powder! The portion size is too small and expensive! Being an Indian myself I would never go to that place again. Please change the damn chef or change the menu! I would definitely not recommend this place.

Ate here in Florida because I really liked the Austin location. As an Indian, worst decision ever. Can’t believe I drove 40 minutes to eat here.

Atmosphere - The place was unclean with food crumbs on the seats and I saw the surrounding tables were not cleaned long after the people had left.

Service - I was very disappointed. We asked for 2 rotis and only got one. When we requested another roti, it never came. We later got charged for 3 rotis. The food also didn’t come all together, and we had to wait really long for the biryani.

Food - We ordered Corn Manchurian (as they said they didn’t have Apollo Fish - honestly, should have left at that point). For mains, we ordered the Amaravati Chicken Curry and Chicken Biryani. The chicken was alright but came with a lot of bone shards. The biryani was one of the worst tasting ones I’ve had - the spices weren’t cooked through. The white rice that came with the chicken was salty and I felt like they used really old rice.

I see from some other reviews that this place used to be decent. Not sure what changed but I would not be coming back.

I've been a loyal customer of this Indian restaurant for the past six years, but my recent experiences have been disappointing. Over the last few visits, the Guntur chicken has been inconsistent, varying in flavor and preparation each time. While the taste remains decent, the lack of consistency is concerning. This time, the dish was swimming in excess oil from the tadka, which wasn't up to their usual standard.

Additionally, their pulavs, which I've always enjoyed, were subpar—what was served was essentially white rice mixed with a vague masala, not the flavorful pulav I’ve come to expect.

Most notably, the portion sizes have decreased significantly. The Amaravati chicken, priced at $19.99, was served in a bowl that barely contained half the usual amount. The Guntur chicken portion has also shrunk by about 20%. It feels like something has changed in the last 2 months, and not for the better.

I hope they address these issues soon, as I’ve always valued their food and service. Overall tastes good but couldn’t take the sudden shift. By the way they started charging card fee 2% , what about that how can they do it without even saying. Do they expect to pay cash

I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I came here with my son to eat Indian food and was dissatisfied in the cleanliness of the place as well as the food.

Cleanliness - when we arrived the seats were dirty and the cups were all greasy and sticky. We also notice the server sneezing on top of a table then proceed to give customers the cups that were just sneezed on.

Food - we tried to order butter chicken, chicken tiki masala, and a chicken kebab but they didn’t have any. Instead we decided to try something new which would be the lamb tiki masala and the chicken saag. The chicken saag was a huge let down
Chicken saag - on the menu it stated that it was boneless so we decided to order it, but when it arrived it had bones and when we asked our server they stated that the menu had typos. The chicken saag tasted fine but I can’t risk bitting into a bone due to braces, thankfully I noticed before that happened.
Lamb tiki masala - was good but the lamb was really chewy and overall felt greasy.

Misc - we noticed problems with other customers. As stated earlier the server did give some customs cups that were just sneezed on and once they heard that this placed didn’t have butter chicken or chicken tiki masala they instantly left. To be honest we should’ve done the same

Overall I would not recommend this place to anyone in the current state it’s in.
The food is to expensive
The food quality is low
The cleanliness doesn’t exist

Something seemed to change. It was not my first time here and it used to be somewhat good but now it completely changed.
Would not recommend.

Disappointing Experience - Slow Service and Unprofessional Staff

I visited Bawarchi Indian Cuisine last night, expecting a delicious and authentic Indian meal. Unfortunately, my experience was a letdown. The order took an unacceptable 30+ minutes to arrive, and the service was subpar.
The staff seemed disorganized and unprofessional, with no attention to detail or customer care. When I politely inquired about the delay, I was met with a dismissive attitude and no apology.

The food, when it finally arrived, was average at best. Not worth the wait or the poor service.

For a restaurant that claims to serve authentic Indian cuisine, Bawarchi falls short. Until they improve their service and efficiency, I would not recommend this place to anyone.

- Slow service (over 30 minutes wait)
- Unprofessional and unfriendly staff
- Average food quality
- Not worth the wait or money

Maybe they'll take customer feedback seriously and make necessary changes. Until then, I'll take my business (and appetite) elsewhere.

Unfortunately, this restaurant won’t last if their customers are not even served properly. I guess today they had closed the dining hall for a birthday party, but the problem was that they were willing to still accept takeout orders.

I enter—no greeting just stares, and I wait by the front desk and literally 15 minutes later, I’m still standing by the door waiting for someone to notice me. (Btw no one wears uniforms here so everyone looks like a typical customer here)

So I finally meet eye contact with I guess was an employee? I say, “hello?” “Are you picking up?” Ummmm…. Yes maaam !!!! I’m not standing here to just look pretty. So strange!

I ended up walking out and not even taking my to go order. Such a shame. I don’t know why it was so confusing for them. If they were accepting take out orders, then there should be a better process to serve those who are dining in versus out. At the very least a greeting would have been nice….

BTW: this restaurant was closed in May 2024 due to a roach infestation… look it up!!!

Foods okay, not bad. Pretty disappointing that the cashier asked for a tip in cash which is not a good look.

Very flavorful, and I love the fact you can substitute naan instead of rice at no cost. They’re the only restaurant around that does this. No more wasted rice! Edit: this is no longer true. Now they force the rice and charge for naan.

Last night , I decided to try takeout from this restaurant , ordering Egg biryani and Naans. Their online platform was easy to navigate and their detailed description of each dish helped me in selecting my dishes easily. The staff at the counter were friendly and efficient, confirming my order details quickly before handing it over to me. Biryani and Naans was flavorful and exceptional. Overall my takeout experience was fantastic.
