This Carvel has been great to our family for years. You were always greeted with a smile. In the past several months the staff has changed. Rude at times. You need to hire happy people. With so many options in the area, there’s no need to go back. Very disappointing.

Yesterday I had a rather strange and humiliating experience at this place. We usually go there because the product and service is excellent. Until yesterday. After having a good pie of pizza at Pascuale’s, my wife and daughter left and I decided to walk and have a small swirl of chocolate and vanilla. To my surprise, and after being served the cone, and eating part of it, I realized I had left my wallet in my truck. I apologized and as I was turning back to go get the money ($3.50), the girl behind the cashier reached out to grab the cone ! As I said, are you serious now? She insisted and apologized saying it was “policy”. I quickly thought about the scandal, the cops, and how I was going to live a nightmare out of three bucks and fifty cents. So there I was, at my 59 years of age, humiliated by policy, by bad training, by bad management. I walked back to my truck ($150,000 Raptor for the truck biased ones), thinking that all I’ve made in my life has been built on trust. This country was built on trust, on crediting people by their word. I guess these are not this place principles. Well, my policy is not to go back to places that have no regard for their clients.

I Love black raspberry ice cream I buy it by the quart I've been eating it for 55+ years so I know what it's supposed to taste like as it is I had to drive 20 miles one way just to get it only to get some kind of imitation black raspberry for 11 bucks a quart.

Soft-serve chocolate doesn't require anything else.... however my TW did add something crunchy. You can as well. Cinnabunn soft-serve is also available for the season, I suspect. Don't forget the shakes, legendary!!

My favorite place to take the kids for ice cream. They have a kids cone or cup and it doesn't cost a fortune.

I grew up on Carvel back in the day in Queens NY. My family owned a Carvel store in the 80’s and we kept our store immaculate! I walked into this location last Saturday the 30th around 7pm. I was appalled how filthy this store was! Countertops, tables, seats, outside table, floors, display cases, frozen cases and benches were just filthy and sticky. The 3 young ladies that were working were just standing around. I was the only customer so one of them could have wiped the store down. The girls were not polite either so most likely will never step foot in this store again.

Calls to add a topping to my order that was not listed on the website. The person that answered the phone was not willing to add the topping and advised that the he had no way to charge me for the one topping. You would have thought after I spent $40.00 on icecream good customer service would be to squirt some peanut butter sauce in the cup

Carvel Ice Cream was born in 1934 on Memorial Day when Tom Carvel's ice cream truck got a flat tire in Hartsdale, New York so he pulled over to sell his slightly melted ice cream and everyone loved it. It gave him the inspiration to serve soft ice cream at a fixed location. In 1936 Tom Carvels' no air, super low temperature ice cream was patented and in 1937 he opened his first shop in Hartsdale, New York. In 1947 it was the first retail ice cream shop in America to franchise. By 1951 there were 100 shops and they introduced their iconic Flying Saucer ice cream. They also known for their Fudgie the Whale ice cream cake which celebrated their 40th birthday in 2017. Today Carvel is owned by Focus Brands. As of 2022 there are 358 Carvel Franchises worldwide, 326 which are in the U.S. Their motto is "America's Freshest Ice Cream."This Carvel is located at the Shoppes at Heron Lakes in Coral Springs near the entrance to the Sawgrass Expressway. I don't see a Carvel very often but this one was located in the shopping plaza where my girlfriend and I had dinner so we walked over after for dessert and memories. I had a Carvel down the street from where I grew up in New Jersey and often ate their ice cream with my family and Flying Saucers at school events. I haven't been in Carvel since I moved to Florida but the minute I walked in the door all of the childhood feels came flooding back. There were the Flying Saucers, Fudgy the Whale in two sizes, and the weird looking Cookie Puss in the case staring back at me. Carvel is famous for using only a few cake mold shapes. They only change the cake decorations, not the shape so they can be a bit strange. They also serve hard and soft serve ice cream and shakes. It was pure nostalgia. I ended up ordering a chocolate chip mint cup topped with hot fudge and the ice ream melted on contact with the fudge spilling it over the sides of the cup. It was a mess which is why I didn't take a picture. I don't actually prefer my ice cream soft so next time I would grab one of the cones from the freezer case. Personally it was worth coming in just for the memories.
