Update… Manhattan Bagel has replied to my message below by sending me a standard reply to contact their help line and fill out forms. This is not something this company takes seriously. Finding a dead GECKO that came out of their coffee urn is filthy and shows a lack of proper cleaning of their equipment. I hope people read my review and stay away from this business, they just don’t care! Here is my original email that they found not necessary to properly address below.
I Found a dead Gecko in the Hazelnut coffee. The employee was grossed out but they did nothing. This was my first and last visit.

Went for the first time today and the bagels were good…..I got a reg coffee and my husband got a vanilla hazelnut….(self serve urns) when he got his coffee he thought there were grinds on the top so he scooped it off….when he finished his coffee he noticed something on bottom of cup turns out it was a dead gecko that must have been in the coffee urn….i brought it up to show the cashier and she just said “eww” and took the cup……not even “I’m sorry”. Totally unacceptable! You need to do a better job cleaning!! Absolutely disgusted!

If a bagel is $1.79 and the side of vege cream cheese is an additional $1.99 (shown on the receipt), the total should be $3.78... why am I billed $6.09? The receipt says it all.

The bagel are good but they sometimes have the smell/subtle taste of cleaning products. I cant figure out if it’s the bag that it comes in or just the cleaning products smell of the establishment. I hope they can fix that.

Bought 1/2 dozen, variety available was low. Probably because of time of day - almost 2pm.
Went in at 1:40 and the lights were off - No food and everything was gone. The restaurant was basically closed so change the hours.

paid 4$ for a side of bacon and this is what i got. mind the restaurant was empty when i showed up. 7 kids standing behind the counter with nothing to do microwave my 4$ side of bacon til it burnt. been coming here for years and honestly won’t be back. fake eggs, microwaved bacon, standards just on the floor so do with that what ya will. Bacon literally black in color and is hard as a rock.

Me and my mother have been going here for years, they have always been very nice and you got a good amount of food for the high prices you were paying, we loved it. Today we went and the people that worked there were so rude, we stood there for awhile unsure where to go because they were ignoring us, we thought ok maybe it’s an off day..until we got our food. Not only was the food portion extremely smaller than usual but it was not at all worth what we paid. $20 for a thin bagel and one slice of nova on it. Completely disgusted by feeling like I was just stolen from, very sad we are not likely to return.

I stopped by specifically to try the French toast sandwich, but unfortunately they were all out of the French toast bagel. They substituted it with a chocolate chip bagel instead.
Here's what I ordered:
French toast sandwich w/chocolate chip bagel - 8.4/10 It was tasty and I enjoyed the maple flavor so I would go back to try it with the french toast bagel
Frozen Caffé Caramel - 7.1/10 It had a slight caramel flavor but It was not sweet enough for me.
The women working there were very friendly and welcoming and the place has a cozy diner vibe to it with some limited seating outside. It took a little while to get my order, even though there was only one person ahead of me. It's worth a return trip to me for the breakfast sandwich.
