Koto Sushi Hibachi

This restaurant is currently closed for renovations - I went there last night to grab dinner (July 11th) and was told by an employee that the owners have sold the business. They said it would be closed for 2 months and would reopen under new management after the renovations.Update - July 12thAfter speaking with someone at another Hibachi place nearby (saiko-I), I found that the owners of Saiko-i bought Koto on the 11th and will be converting it to another Saiko-I location. Apparently the owner of the boca location told his staff on Tuesday that the deal went though and the new location (koto) will be open either in mid/late October or mid November.

The service was excellent the drinks were very good. The food is in the top 5 places I've been to. I highly recommend Koto this place rocks!

We went with a party of 10 for birthday dinner. When we sat down, we were told there was no sushi available because the chef was on vacation. Our Cook had no personality and didn’t give us a show at all. He couldn’t even do the onion volcano, it fell apart because the onions didn’t fit right. Everyone was done with the rice and vegetables before any meat was prepared. Expensive dinner, very disappointed and let me tell you save your money and go somewhere else.

Pham is the most extraordinary chef that I've met. Fantastic since the humor and personality. This is the second time in 4 days my wife and I have visited this restaurant because of Pham. This time we had our kids with us.Definitely worth a visit for a meal... You especially need to request Pham!

We went to Koto habachi restaurant like we always do. We had Pham as our chef. We have been eating at this restaurant for years and he gave us to best experience I have ever had at this restaurant. He is nice, entertaining, engaging, and the food was phenomenal. We had by far the best experience with chef Pham. We will definitely be back to see him.

Our Hibachi chef Pham was fantastic. The food was excellent and he was a great entertainer. Definitely improved my day.

Been coming here for years, always been great. We had Pham tonight for the first time and saw tricks we never seen before. He was amazing. Definitely ask for him!

My first time here and also at this type of restaurant, and I LOVED IT! Our chef was so funny and entertaining and an EXCELLENT chef! The food was all delicious, the BEST filet mignon I've ever had! I don't usually leave reviews, but I just can't say enough about this place, and the staff are all wonderful...will definitely be back!

Food is high quality, delicious and fresh. The entire staff is incredibly friendly, helpful, attentive. What a relaxing, positive and enjoyable lunch! Will make this our regular place!

Kid-friendliness: Excellent for kids!

If your looking for a Hibachi show or something at least cracking the egg.. for your kids this is not the place. The cooks are friendly but that’s it!The food used to be better, as the salad used to come with tomatoes, cucumbers,carrots not anymore.. just lettuce and 3oz of dressing.You pay extra to get fried rice and it’s just plain white rice with soy sauce because not even peas and carrots are found in the rice.When it came to the other veggies I mean onions and then some veggies..overall the price has increased prices and the he food quality has gone down. It’s not the place it once used to be..

Waited over two hours to be taken care of at our table. We got drinks and were left with no one being attentive and with children. We still waited and then once we saw that we were the last people in place because they took a group of people that came in after us by the way ! Got served and had the chef come to their table I asked for the checked and that was that. Really disappointed as we usually come here often. Will not be returning.

We have been here 20+ times over the last 4 years and the place has went to trash. They never have enough help, the men’s bathroom has been half broken for more than a year, with glue on the counter top. To top it off, the manager has a bad attitude. Our food after 20 times here was very different, the hibachi chef used no seasoning, vegetables were rock hard, touched chicken with calamari while cooking, and didn’t put any care into what he was doing. After bringing this up to the manager, she said “sorry”. She could care less, didn’t offer anything but a box for the full plate of food that we didn’t even touch. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere!

Went here on New Year’s Eve for dinner 9 of us . A roach crawled out of my daughters napkin holder on went ACcross her sushi and onto the table where it got cooked . Told the waitress and she made like it was no big deal had to ask again for someone to remove the roach and they didn’t even clean the grill or the table where it crawled on until we asked. Disgusting and still had to pay for the sushi she didn’t eat ! Do not go here !

Good Hibachi, need to update the decor and carpet. Starting to look aged.
