We have been visiting Annie's for years! it is truly a local treasure! the grouper sandwich is to die for and the atmosphere is something that anyone visiting Cortez or Anna Maria should experience at least once in their lives!

Rule #1 Don't be in a hurry and relax.Great Grouper sandwiches and AJ fish dip (Don't expect condiments w/ that).Cold Beer and Jell-O shots. This is the epitome of dive bars. It's just on the north side of the bridge and south of the Seafood Shack. Excellent bait selection too.

Super slow service. Was here for over an hour for a to go order. Took over 15 minutes to even been seen by any one to even order, while other people got helped 3 or 4 times. They weren't busy, there was like 4 people at the bar and one other table. Food wasn't that great,a cheeseburger, a hot dog, grilled ham and cheese, and a cold sandwich, def not an hours worth of food. Will not be back

The place is a bait shop so expectations weren't super high. Ok options for live bait. We picked up shrimp and shiners. Staff had always been a little irritable whenever I've been in there. It's conveniently located next to the marina we use so we'll continue to go.

Brutally Honest

I went to this bait shop expecting to get live shrimp and good knowledge of the area and the fishing in it. The lady was very inattentive and before we even got in the bait shop this guy was trying to sell us a boat ride and talking to us for 25 minutes non stop. He seemed drunk too. She just watched and didn’t care. We’ve never been salt water fishing and we decided to try it out and ask for help with how to keep the shrimp alive, and she said “we can’t tell you nothing.” Whilst smirking.. and walked away fast. What a great way to sell your stuff. The shrimp were tiny and she didn’t let us know we needed a bubbler til we looked up a YouTube video. And her buckets were $25 dollars more than Walmart. Last resort we bought frozen at Walmart..
