This was my first eating experience at Cortez Kitchen. We saw that there were specials on a Sunday and I had a gift card burning a hole in my pocket. When we arrived we sat ourselves as the sign directed, we weren't greeted by a server for about 7 minutes (no biggy). However during the ordering and eating process we felt very rushed. Cortez Kitchen is truly a hidden gem! When you first pull up, it might look like a little hole-in-the-wall spot, but don’t let that fool you—it ended up being the best restaurant I visited on Anna Maria Island.
