Visited here twice while on holiday in the area. Excellent food, great service and a lovely location. Nice relaxed vibe. Would highly recommend it!

We have visited the Swordfish Grill over several visits, it is that sort of non pretentious place set next to a boatyard and overlooking water, but it offers good tasty meal selections with seafood and shellfish being it’s specialty. Often has music. The staff are attentive, fun and helpful. Good value, make sure you book to guarantee an outside table.

Great location. On the bay with fishing boats all around. Food just so so. Fish dip good. Scallops wrapped in bacon tasty but way overpriced. Grouper Ruben definitely over priced. Cool fish, cheese not melted. Coleslaw ok. French fries just ok. Wouldn’t eat here again.

Another great experience at swordfish! Always been a favorite. Food is always great! It has been a while since we've been. Happy to be back. Love the new tiki roof and whole outdoor area. Great addition. Shawna our server was fantastic. A good server always makes the experience better. Very friendly and gave great recommendations. Can’t wait to come back.

Good seafood that was prepared perfectly. Started with steamed shrimp- tender and tasty. My wife enjoyed the shrimp and grits and I enjoyed the blackened seafood platter (fish, scallops, shrimp and crab cake). Finished our meal with Key Lime Pie. Excellent all around. If you have a choice, sit on the Tiki Deck - under roof and live music out there.

We are frequent customers. We usually sit at the outside bar and always enjoy the experience. Last night, because we had 4 in our party, we opted for a table outside. While the ambiance, music, and food were all good, our server was not. She was very distracted and not at all attentive. We had to flag down another server at one point to get a second round of drinks because our server was missing in action. The second server forgot to order one of the four drinks we requested so my husband had to go up to the bar and get his own. It was not even busy. When we were given the check (we requested two checks) the drinks were not correct. I was charged for my friends drinks. As not to have to wait for this to be fixed, we worked it out ourselves. When we were ready to pay we also had to wait as our server decided sweeping the floor was more important than tending to us. We will be back but only to sit at the bar. Unfortunate how bad service can impact a night out.

My husband and I were in for our anniversary. Made reservation. Waitress knew it was our anniversary when we were seated. Our waitress was always in-a-hurry the entire time we were there. Scallops and shrimp were over-seasoned. Seldom do I leave seafood on the plate; however this was not edible. Had to repeatedly ask for cocktails. Anticipated music on my the tiki deck was less than average. It was a Saturday night in July and the restaurant was half occupied. Odd, as we have visited many times before, on our trips to AMI, and never experienced poor service or food. Rate this one a 2. J&D

Great food! We went there because it was recommended by one of the locals. Had one of the best (and largest) poke salads! On a separate occasion, we ordered the blackened mullet, which was delicious. Highly recommend this friendly and casual restaurant.

We had dinner at the sword, fish grill last night, our first time there. Generally, everything was very good. Our server, Kimmi, was excellent, neither being too attentive nor absent. She made some good recommendations as well. I had the seafood platter, which was loaded with fresh fish, scallops, shrimp and a crabcake. I think I brought half of it home. My husband had the blackened grouper pasta special, and he raved about it. All of the seafood was nicely cooked. The fried green tomato appetizer was outstanding as was the peanut butter pie. (yes, I know I didn’t finish my dinner, but I still had pie) The only lackluster item were the conch fritters. I should know better, the conch is always truly chewy. The frying on fritters allowed it to be cooked on the inside, however, there were some darker spots on the outside. Good flavor, tough and chewy. Cocktails were generous and relatively inexpensive. Ambience is interesting but definitely not fancy. It is set out on piers over the water. They do have inside dining which helped on a 95° night? It may be a little hard to find, as it is setback among the fishing boats, etc.. We will be back.

Great location that is very pleasant, on the water. The food was good. We liked the snapper bites and grouper sandwiches. The blaring classic rock made it difficult to converse and enjoy the atmosphere. Multiple request to lower the volume were politely ignored.

Highlight of my Florida visit. Lunch on Saturday meant tropical breezes, blue waters, music, wonderful adult beverages, and huge portions of tasty food. Loved my crab cake sandwich. Coleslaw had pineapple, nice touch. Jan made us feel welcome. Ask for her. Highly recommend.

Great service by Amber last night on the Tiki Bar, Amber is an awesome bartender. Place was packed and she can handle it. Job well done by Amber.

We arrived at 5:15 for a 5:30 reservation on the covered deck. There were two empty tables in our requested area but we were told it would be a few minutes. There were three people at the hostess station who seemed much more interested in twirling their hair and staring at their devices than doing anything to get us seated. Finally, at 5:30 we left. If you enjoy a beautiful spot, average food and awful service service this is the place for you. This was not our first time here but is our last.

Amber is the best. She makes excellent drinks and her personality and smiles bring us back every year we come to Florida. Next year we are staying in the Cortez area! We had fish tacos, shrimp tacos and grouper and it was one of the best lunches we’ve had since being here. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a wonderful early Easter Dinner. Service was fast and friendly. Portions were large and food was delicious. We got the oysters, Rockefeller, grilled salmon, grilled grouper tacos ,clam chowder soup for app, lobster mac & cheese, and grouper bite basket. Everyone was very pleased with their meal. We will be back for sure .
